Holy crap those things are hard to put down! They make Mark 1 standard were creatures look like fluffy little kittens!

It's not dead. Wait till next chapter.
8946905
I suspected that but I hoped that it at least been contained.
Is that really that hard to come by, so much so that the scourge that haunts Fancy is not being exterminated on-masse?
Burn it to ash and stir the ashes into molten rock.
This is why I love Dim. He has style.

Well, first, you need an alicorn or a really, really powerful unicorn with the magical knowledge of distilling moonlight into a liquid. Then you need to collect enough of said liquid. After that, you need a master-level alchemist to create the moonlight-refined silver, and alchemists of that grade are few and far between, because nobody works with that stuff anymore. It's kind of a lost art. The alicorn most responsible for distilling moonlight went away for 1000 years, and the world suffered from her absence.
8946947 Ah. If I may question, for just one moment...
Who the hell tried going near the heart of these monstrosities, and boiling said heart in a very rare and presumably expensive liquid, on the off chance that it would kill them?
8946966
Trial and error.
Same way we humans have so much obscure knowledge of plants and medicine.
8946947
And I'm guessing moonshine is not an acceptable substitute?
8947008
What could it hurt?
As you are being eaten alive, you won't feel a thing.
Possible solution. Don't try to kill it, freeze it solid. Temp of liquid helium should work. Teleport to upper atmosphere of nearest Jovian type planet.
Allow it to enter the atmosphere. Friction should reduce it to small enough particles that regeneration will be slow enough that it will settle to the core and remain there until the planet ends its life by merging with the sun or the universe ends. Still not dead but not going to be a current problem.
8947033
If Dim had the power to teleport things hundreds and thousands of times the diameter of his own planet that would be viable.
8946946
when all you have is a hammer ( fire ), everything looks like a nail.... and really, some of them are trickier than others, but the hammer will always work on a nail if you know how to apply it!
8947206
Perhaps put it in low earth orbit then at a later date, not too long, give it a strong telekinetic shove that puts it on an intersecting orbit for the gas giant. Could also check with Celestia about dumping it into the sun.
8947266
But then the sun would smell like burning dog, and who wants that?
8947271
Gee I don't think hot dogs smell that bad.
What if Rambo was a werewolf?
That was quite possibly the most horrifying werewolf I've seen in any work. Things that constantly regenerate like that give me the willies. Well done, as always.
8947266
If you teleport it to LEO (again, assuming Dim can do so) you still need to accellerate it to 1.8 km/s in order to maintain the orbit and putting on an intersect course with another planet would almost certainly require many times more push. If Celestia can throw people at the moon she might be able to hit the sun as well.
Eh, the whole Silver thing could very well be a viable solution, but I personally like the idea of just using bigger explosions. After all, you get enough heat and pressure going, and things tend to go nuclear. I don't know what spell matrices the wolves have got going, but I don't think they would still operate after the constituent atoms of the heart have explosively become something else.
Of course, at that point, there's not going to be much of a countryside left to celebrate the victory, but that's a small loss.
8948258
It would come back.
You have to cure the disease. It is more of a malignant spirit.
8948286
Hmmmm. Alright then.
That brings up the question, then, of just how big would an explosion need to be to release a malignant spirit from the mortal realm. And if that doesn't work, what about removing the realm for it to regenerate in? With explosions.
As you may have noticed, I don't like the idea of not being able to solve the problem with bigger weaponry. It unsettles me. Everything should die if you hit it hard enough.
Although, if you built a big enough chamber to not allow it to touch the walls when fully regenerated, and then used a simple levitation charm to keep it in in the middle of that chamber, away from all solid surfaces, would it have any way to escape?
8948301
You and Dim have something in common. Everything should be solved with explosions.
That is insane regeneration. It's more akin to traditional necromancy than biotic regeneration, and at such a high level, too.
my question is where does it get the energy for that regeneration. Other than the speed only other character I've seen with this type of regeneration is Captain Jack from Torchwood or Doctor Who
Hmmm, fire is the wrong kind of force here.
What in the name of all that is unholy IS that thing and how does it have such powerful regeneration, that is more along the lines of a Revive power!?
8963285
Well, one day, a half-demon, half-diamond dog got rabies, and then she bit somedoggy that she didn't like.
I may or may not be joking.
If this... thing comes back to life next chapter, I think Dim would have a heart attack.
