Hnnn, this otherworldly, primal aspect of your facet of Equestrian mythos is absolutely addictive, and in all it's little nuances and side comments has done more to evoke curiosity and wonder at what you've made than anything else in any of your other stories. I will read where ever Dim Dark trots.
Well damn...
Pure nightmare fuel, powering a Nope train to Get-Outistan...
Ooooh if there"s one thing I like, it's a good ol' eldritch abomination-like stuff. (also--3:44 am? get some some sleep, sweet dreams and all that{go away bad dream ~that thing my mom used to tell me when I bothered her~})
Heterochromia as a sign of unusual magic paired with Windian ancestry? Now where have we seen that before...
Dim is a seriously hardcore mage. The ritual practice you describe (taking oneself to the edge of death to practice necromancy) exists in some real magical traditions, but has always struck me as a crazy and desperate sort of move both in real life and in fantasy fiction.
Most of the mages powerful enough to do this in the SWSV wouldn't want to do it. I suspect the same is true of most of the mages powerful enough to do this in the Weedverse as well. But Dim Dark is rather in a category all his own, I think, for good and for ill.
I wonder what the righteous fury of love looks like. Let's find out!
Let's get MYTHIC on that ass, Dim!
Holy fuck the THINGS that this poor colt has been through, and is continuing to suffer from.
Though I love how there's this trinity with Dim that is about to bring the Pain Train to whatever Eldritch Abomination is within that poor colt. I hope that they purge it with Righteous Holy Fire >=)
