OOh OHHHhHh OHHHHHHH I GET IT NOW
That was a good filler chapter, this whole darn week though, I've been wondering if Sunset will get to see Twilight again.

We still have a demon siren to contend with... And we have to learn what happened while Sunset and Cinder were gone. ;)

eeYup
Isn’t Ash fighting Cinder?
“That’s not a moon...”

Fixed!
I realized that I have no idea what the point of this story is anymore.
Serenade wants to kill all mortals. She drained Celestia of her magic, and maybe killed her. Nightmare Moon was banished immediately(Because you can't tell me as demonphobic as your world is that ANYONE would have let a demon return to her throne.) Cadance...I'm not sure what happened to her, or if she could manage the heavens. Twilight Sparkle also had the majority of her magic drained.
So with all that said...why hasn't Serenade just froze the heavens and indulge her sadistic tendencies by hunting mortals in scorching heat and freezing darkness? Demons don't need to eat or sleep, so it's not like the death of the world would affect her. I get that she's a sadistic bitch who's only happy when ripping someone's guts out, but...

Have you forgotten? Twilight actually got her magic back, as did Discord.
Also, remember only a small handful of ponies understand how demons work. Just because Luna was an impure demon at one point does not mean people would be concerned over her turning back into one. Most ponies don't really even see demons that often to where many actually used to believe they were a myth for a long time. Recall that many people actually thought Nightmare Moon was just an old story and not true. Not to mention, Luna has been ruling for years now without an issue, ponies aren't really concerned with such a thing.
We also have only really scratched the surface of Serenade really. Sure she's a sadistic maniac who wants all mortals dead, but for those paying attention, you'll notice there is another factor at play here: she's immortal. Being immortal means she is not "supposed" to die, so as a result, most immortals fear death. A lot of what she is doing is to try and reduce the risk of her dying. There's more to it than that, but we've only really just begun to understand her and why she's like how she is.
With the spear in tow though, along with Cinder's sword skills, and Sunset's combat suit... I'd say you're safe in assuming a battle with Serenade is on its way and so much is going to change when that happens.
Even with all of Serenade's power, remember what she said about the oubliette? It would drain so much of her power that it would leave her vulnerable. She can't unleash that kind of energy without huge risks. And while she does not need to eat or sleep, she can still die. Scorch the earth, freeze it, and you could die too. She also doesn't want to kill immortals in the process and she needs a planet for them all to live.
Act VII is going to be NOTHING like Act VI or any of the other acts for that matter.
