Nope. Still thinking Shimmer's getting off too easily. The others have just as much right to be angry with her. But nope, Shimmer's ultimately right, as always And I'm still not buying Princess Twilight just going along with this. It doesn't feel right for her.
I'll wait for the finale.

Well I don't think they are not angry, they are just realizing that perhaps they should have let her tell them her side before just shutting her out and they are recognizing that she was reacting out of emotion, as Rarity put it. I mean Shimmer was the one who was actually THERE, the other girls weren't, and when you think about it... Shimmer almost saw Sunset die, and saw her own parents die. There's a lot of trauma there and it creates rash thinking.
The girls are more in the window of "we are willing to at least hear her side and perhaps try to repair this bridge, but with caution" than anything else.
Two chapters till the finale, but I can say: you're not supposed to like Shimmer right now. She's being a bitch, but her friends are trying to be the bigger people about it. I don't think ANY of them ever said she was right, just that they understood.
I can't very well put my finger on it but something feels unnatural. Like Sunset accepted being stuck way to easily, no arguing or scheme to break the spell. Also with shimmer complaining how she felt abandoned by all her friends and saying how they don't understand when she herself didn't realize she did the same to sunset she forced her friends to abandon sunset right after she almost died. It just feels off.

Next two chapters, all I can say.

Aye, but again, she did all of that and FORCED herself to be the only one there. She literally blocked Twilight out from coming, so her excuse that nobody else was there was of her own making. That excuse should never fly.

Never said she was in the right :P

Nah, never said ya did. I'm just saying that none of the others even thought about it and are still trying to buddy buddy friendship fix it.

Fair point, though to be fair these girls have been shown to be pretty forgiving in general in the series.
Either way, it is probably a fair criticism.
Alright. The sickness thing held me for longer than it should have but at this point I’m out. Every character is a lesbian, everyone is having sex in high school, they act like prom is the night to lose your virginity, and it’s just so...it’s all tropes. Like every bad idea of what high school is is here. The background for the sunsets was good, and i’ll Likely remember them but the rest of it was just so odd. Shimmer, a social outcast, was “in love” after two meetings with Moondancer. After what seemed like the second date they were having sex. Then shimmer seals her only family away? It’s just...it’s too much.

Who is having sex besides Shimmer and Moondancer? Shimmer is graduated and legally an adult.
Also, pretty sure it's stated that Twilight, Shimmer and Sunset all had a boyfriend at one point or another. Meaning they are in fact, not lesbians. This has been pointed out many times actually. At no point did any character talk about losing their virginity at prom either, so I don't know where that is from.
Worth also pointing out, that Shimmer made that decision to return Sunset home because she feared something would happen again that she couldn't do anything about. She is safer back in Equestria than she is in the human world in Shimmer's mind and that's... Not inherently wrong either. Like in the human world, Sunset is an alien that they are trying to keep hidden from the government eyes or anyone who would cause problems for her. Not to mention she has different biology which means even going to a doctor if she gets sick is a risk.
It stands to reason that she would want her back in Equestria.
I mean I won't stop you from leaving, but I think you're exaggerating quite a bit.
God this is a Trainwreck. I thought the first few chapters were interesting but since Sunset was forced back to Equestria it just became a dumpster fire in my opinion. No one's acting like their characters or even their characters from earlier chapters, mysteries were being set and seems to be nothing more than cockteasing at this point and worst of all, the casual sex mention became full on clopfic.
I don't know how this'll continue and I'm curious enough to continue but at this point it's like a bad movie.
I'm sure this fic could have been really interesting and could do with a rewrite and better editing.
