To those wondering what happened. I deleted the previous version of "Unforgivable Sins" because once I finished the revision and adding of dramatic flare, the second version was much better.

So to all thinking that I took a whole month to update, not really. I just didn't know that deleting the chapter would mean deleting the comments too.

I already apologized to the previous commenters via Personal Message. (Except you Steel Sabre, sorry.)

i will be updated at the same time as the rest of my stories. I hope to cram two new chapters for this one and The Symphony of Canterlot during Spring Break.

Good story; is it partially inspired by The Dresden Files? Haven't gotten around to reading them, but I get a bit of that flavor with the noir meets occult magical realism vibe! Think my favorite scene was his trip to the 'Medicine' shop.

Last sections of the second chapter felt a tad rushed, but otherwise no complaints. Tracking in case you ever pick this up again, but no pressure!

Wow. All I did was give him that one crup-stomp moment where he basically intimidates his way into crucial information.

Anyway, while this is partially abandoned, this is an older adventure of this character back when he came out of living in the streets due to depression and PTSD induced nightmares from his time fighting with the Galic Foreign Legion in Zebrica. He basically is 23 here. The story in which I first write him is a year into the show and I am trying to finish as quickly as possible real world obstacles and all. I'll update soon don't worry. I'll hand over the next chapter in that story within two days to my editor and give it two or three days its published after that.

While I like your comparison I thought about Hellblazer, Hellboy, the B.P.R.D. Horror Comics, the Conan the Barbarian books, Queen of K'n-Yan novel,The King in Yellow story collection and the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. This is because I, even with ponies tend to write more bizarre, violent, and darkly than Jim Butcher's flare. Though I will admit that I do like his work, haven't read much outside the first two Dresden Files novels though and that was years ago.

Hellblazer is also something came to mind; good list of inspirations there, excellent taste! Looking forward to more, will check out the rest of your work when I can! Trying to whittle down my backlog without much success, but could use a break from the nonstop clop I usually read! Love the gloomy atmosphere.
