DJ appears in Equestria five years before the events of season one start. On the day of nightmare moon's return, he travels into Ponyville for the some potion ingredients Zecora needed at the time. When Twilight meets him she decides to study him, and misses the raising of the sun ceremony in the process. When DJ accompanies the girls through the Everfree to gather the elements of harmony, the whole universe is set on a different, yet similar path.
NOTE: This story is set in an alternate universe, so I will do my best to make sure all characters will be introduced. I'm going to be writing almost a new story line because of this, but I will make sure to include all of the major villains and unique experiences the best i can.

Just about average i think quality wise. Decent but could be better. Still a nice stage where the story is set.
so whens the next chapter coming out? i really like this story. but i'd like to see more on the changling side.
7465014 good news is that the next chapter should be about the changeling side of things. Bad news is that I want to write up a buffer and get more regular updates so I'm not sure when the next update will be. Its not dead though I will say that.

Four hundred thousand years is a bit unreasonable for a biological creature.
7668957 celestia is supposed to be immortal. That means that if she dies with he sun, which I'm assuming would be about the size of our sun if not smaller, she could have around 10 billion years from birth to death of a star. Even assuming that she was born half way through the life, she would be around 5 billion years old at her death.
Keep in mind that they can die due to poison, sickness, or being hurt.
