Rarity slammed a hoof into the picnic table and narrowed her eyes threateningly. “If the Great and Powerful Trixie doesn’t shut her mouth, she will be sleeping on the floor!”

...Huh. Odd coincidence that I just read Blue Like Sapphires tonight.
Well, this one brought a smirk and amused snort to my face. Picture a bunch of eyes smirking at you.
It does seem a bit of a gauche comment to shout even for Trixie, once one moves past the humor value, so I'm going to assume she's actually irritated with Rarity over something else but complaining about this.

1234657 My own belief is that Trixie gets more arrogant and loud mouthed the more she likes someone, because she desperately wants to impress them and inspire awe - in this particular case that tendency does not work in Rarity's favour.
