Story time

Red sat in her chair at the front desk of the clinic. She sighed. Still boring, still had to do it. A small filly bounced up to her. She was white as snow with a brown mane. She was wild and out of control.

"Mommy!" she yipped, "When are we going home?"

"Soon dear," Red smiled. The young filly before her smiled. Red sighed contently. She'd never considered kids but here she was with a daughter. She loved the filly with all her heart. She remembered all the joy filled moments the filly had brought her these last five years.

Tenderheart walked out from behind a corner and into the lobby.

"Hi Aunty Tenderheart!" the filly bounced.

"Good afternoon, Tierra," the blue mare smiled, "I trust you're keeping your mother company?"

"Yup! And tomorrow I'm gonna go play with Pumpkin Cake and Windy Days!"

"Well I hope you have fun. How are you doing Valentine?"

"Meh," the white mare said, "I'm doing fine, but this desk duty is still boring."

"It always is."

Tierra had resigned herself to bouncing about the room, yipping about all the fun things she was going to do tomorrow. Tenderheart smiled.

"Tell you what sis. I'll get the rest of this shift. Go home and rest."

Red smiled with a nod. Her gaze fell on her daughter. She stood up from the desk and trotted over.

"Are we going home now?"

"Yes sweetheart."

"Yay!"

Red waved goodbye to her sister as she exited the clinic with her daughter bouncing around her.

***

Red opened the door to her home. She closed it and turned the lock before walking further into her house. It was a nice place. Two bedrooms plus a guest area, a living room, kitchen, den, and a dining room. Tierra was resting on her mother's back. Quietly, she walked up the stairs and into her daughter's room. It was decorated with various posters of DJ PON3. There were a few amps and a record player on a dresser in the room. Various records were lying all over the floor along with several music sheets.

Red let her daughter off her back and bounce into her bed. The filly settled in as her mother tucked her in for the night.

"Can we do story time tonight?"

"I don't know darling," Red resonded, already knowing she was going to lose this arguement.

"Please?" The filly's eyes became the size of dinner plates as she pleaded.

"Oh alright," Red smiled.

"Yay! Story time!"

"This one is special."

"Really? What's this one about?"

"It's not from a story book this time. This is a different kind of story."

"What is it, mommy?"

There was a knock at the door.

"This is the story of how I first met your father."

AN UPDATE?! :pinkiegasp:
YAY! :yay:

Jesus H. Christ that was beautiful.

Wow. That was completely amazing. I enjoyed all of it. Cute, funny, sad, and heart warming.

10 out of 10 for romance
10 out of 10 for grammar
10 out of 10 for overall story
1 like and a fave going your way

Apparently 1 person has no heart.

:fluttercry:

That...was...a very...good story!I hope you could write more stories.Good!

This is pretty great! I loved the last chapter as well, the how romance built up and everything else.
This ending is very open, causing us to draw up of either if he lived or died on that operating table.

Unn... that ending. So good and so terrible...

Sup

If my date secretly stashed a syringe in their pocket, there is no way I would go with them anywhere until they explained what it was.

Hard to empathize with these characters and I was getting bored reading. Felt pretty forced, as if the whole world was pretty much revolving around them and only moved in a way that held them at the center of it.

With your permission, is it alright if I can write my interpretation of the aftermath?
