Why are these chapters so short? I mean, these characters are relatively indistinguishable, unless you count their flanderizations. I guess these guys are in the human world.

The sentences are short and choppy. I could see this concept working, and ultimately, no offense intended, you should really take a break before going onto a new story. Your two stories were panned, and unless you want to write trollfics, take your audience's advice.
