Ever since Rainbow Dash made that unforgettable 'Grinch' face on the TV screen, many fans have responded with picture-comparison's to Dr. Seuss's The Grinch. And while some have attempted to mimic the old master's rhythmic rhyme to match the pictures----I've seen few attempt this rhyming with a full-fledged story draft. Others may try; some may have already tried, but here now is MY OWN attempt, just for argument sake. Inspired by Hasbro's MLP:FiM's "May the Best Pet Win" & "Tanks for the Memories" and Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." This author claims no ownership of characters or story; only of this draft.

You're not the only one who saw the influence that the story of How the Grinch stole Christmas may have had on the episode.. Me thinks the writers/artists were thinking of the story when they made it too but you managed to make a fanfic in a way that pays true tribute to the classic story complete with song! Now if they ever do something that has Fluttershy trying to stop nightmare night from happing by replacing it with another certain holiday or better yet have Luna want to have Nightmare night on that other holiday.. My happiness would know no bounds... heh,heh...

Thanks, folks. This, I should say, is not the first Dash-Grinch story to be posted on FimFiction. That credit, I believe, goes to "what-there-once-was" (is that the right name?) for posting "How Rainbow Dash Stole Winter" story draft on May 4th. I don't claim that draft as my own; only this one. Like minds think alike, I guess. Clearly, "Tanks for the Memories," I predict, will be the most sought-after episode on DVD this coming Christmas, if only for the parallels it draws to Seuss' Grinch.
Still, Aurora, I'd say don't be timid about posting your own take on this idea. The more variations, perhaps, the better. Heaven knows HOW MANY Grinch-spoofs have already been done on TV and in films, before this one?

i had considered doing something along these lines myself, but I bailed on it because I'm not Dr. Seuss. :P This is a pretty solid piece though. I think there are some lines that kind of stray from Seuss's trademark metre, the overall concept is extremely entertaining. :3 Nicely done. :)
The next thing you know, there'll be a pony version of "Your A Mean One, Mr. Grinch".
