I don't know why i still this story of injustice. Maybe it's because i want Jason Wright to suffer at the end of this! or at least heavily regret what he has done.
My reason is this: You cant control fear, So Fluttershy is not guilty of anything! Pinkie Pie was clearly very conflicted because nopony else wanted to help him(Fear might also have played a role, like with fluttershy). Twilight's Reasoning is unclear, But simply not letting someone in is not a crime, And she probably didn't realize he didn't have a home. The others were just victims of group mentality, so they're not at fault either. The only ones who actually did anything wrong was Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity. They are the real monsters, Along with Jason Wright.
And that's not even touching the subject of mind control! Remember this?
And this?
It's a possibility, Is it not?
So big D finally awakens. Well... next chapter is certainly going to be interesting.
7260346 dude... you're asking for reason in a guy on the throes of vengeance. If he was collected and sane enough to realize that it would be bad writing
In hindsight, Jason should have left some guards or 'insurance' to protect against a certain . . . wild card.
Genius! Pure Genius!!!! definitely one of my top 5 stories and keep up the good work.
7260347 oh my god i can't believe you...
7260346 Eh, I really don't think Group Mentality should apply here. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are Elements of Harmony, which means a helluva lot more should be expected of them. They're national heroes, they don't get to give into fear, especially not for the three years detailed in the original story.
Also thanks for reading :)
7260347 For the Six, of course. The town has suffered enough seeing their homes burnt, it's the Six that really have to suffer.
7260362 Quite interesting indeed.
7260367 I think we all believe we would behave differently if we were in those ponies' horseshoes.
7260378 Yeah...that might have been a good idea.

7260391 Thank you, really and truthfully thank you.
So imma guess the ending right now, Discord is released and sends the mane 6 back in time so that they can fix their mistake or kill Jason. Or Discord does something along those lines. Alternatively he does his mind whammy on Jason.
Please don't say I'm right.
7260346 It's more telling that the only one who seems to remember him before being prompted is Discord
So in the end
I will be what I will be
No loyal friend
Was ever there for me
Now we say goodbye
We say you didn't try
These tears you cry
Have come too late
Take back the lies
The hurt, the blame!
And you will weep
When you face the end alone
You are lost!
You can never go home.
7260423 Its just a guess. I was already aware who was it.
But it's such a tragedy. Jason is clearly a Good Person, it's just that he's been so broken.
7260488 i said that because your just had to said that -_-
it just annoyed me for some reason. ._.
7260497 not an easy one, but it was one.
I think I know how he is going to break Twilight.
Well, with everything that's happening I'm not surprised.
7260346 This guy, in his mind, feel that all six of them are guilty, not only for what they did, but also for what they didn't do.
Twilight is supposed to be the Princess of Friendship. She had three years to try to extend some sort of help for him. even if it was to contact Celestia to have him brought to Canterlot. Whether he was welcomed or locked away he wouldn't of had to starve or nearly freeze to death.
Fluttershy is the Element of Kindness. She's normally the first to help someone in need. Yet, she did nothing in the three years he was suffering.
Pinkie Pie is the Element of Laughter. She is usually more than happy to greet a new resident to Ponyville. Yet, she did nothing to cheer up someone who was absolutely miserable.

7260423
Me two
7260554 Good point.
7260427
Good point. But not everypony reacts right away right?
gonna be alot of conflicting view points when that foal gets back
HERE COMES DISCORD!
7260346 so basically the main six get an out for gross neglect? misconduct and corruption? your reasoning would be a laughing stock in any court room on earth.
Even if Discord were to come back, the damage is already done to the ones that matter most; the elements. The psychological trauma he's already put them through...delicious and likely very long-lasting.
7260441 Not even close
7260497 Lol
7260542 That's what I shot for, glad to see I hit my mark!
7260569
7260601 Maybe, but a slight delay would have been something. Three years tells me they were never planning to do anything. Three years is cruel and deliberate. There is no excuse for that kind of delay, none at all.
7260603 LoL didn't even think of that :)
7260683 Ohhhh, you know it! :)
7260441 Honestly? Discord may be more torn on it than you would suspect. Of the mane 6's interactions with him {that I can recall} Fluttershy is the only one that seems to willingly give him the time of day; the others have stayed {rightfully so imo} fairly distrustful of him.
7260837 I see. Now its starting to make some sense.
You know, I point to this story every time someone asks me what I think the worst (as in, the most difficult to fight and difficult to hate) kind of evil is. Here's a good man who was pushed beyond anyone's limit. He is someone who has an unarguably valid reason to despise the ponies, one who has every right to lash out at those that tried to kill him, one that no one could blame if he refused to offer them any form of assistance, and it was all because the good guys turned their backs and failed to uphold the very things they swore to uphold. And yet, despite all of this, is still willing to risk his life in order to save the life of one of the beings that did all of that evil to him (the fact that he didn't turn racist/xenophobic/whatever-the-word-is-for-hating-a-specific-species is is the key point). This story is almost a picture perfect example of a perfect storm.
Being ex-military, he's an example of someone I'd hate to fight because, while I will do it if he attacks the nation I'm sworn to defend, I will forever feel dirty for it. There's no Nazis or "Ultimate Evil" here, just an innocent man lashing out at those who've done him serious wrong.
And that's why I love this story
EDIT:
Forgot to add here's a song I think fits Jason's mindset perfectly:
7260846
Considering how the story started, with Discord being the only one to even recognize him, I'm pretty sure you have a point there. It'll be all too easy for him to see himself in Jason - the kind of thing that could have happened to him if he didn't have the power to force them to accept him. He might end up being angry about Fluttershy, but only because she's so much his friend specifically. This won't be an easy thing for him to come to terms with.
7260918
There isn't really one, given that we're kinda the only sapient species there is, but most people treat "speciesist" as an acceptable stand-in.
This is dark...
We approve
your nests
your families
Normaly I hate it when stories get this dark, but this? This I love.
I just had a crazy thought. What if whatever Jason does to Twilight next, backfires? What if he not only destroys what is left of her heart, but her mind as well? Becoming a vindictive beast no longer able to think of anything except the death of the ones who took everything away from her, as well as those that turned their back on her as well. Especially her so-called friends.
I doubt this would happen, but it would be ironic.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again;
I WANT MOOOOOORE!!!!!!
This story just gets me so HYYYPE!!!
7260918 That's kinda what I was shooting for here. No "Ultimate Evil," no easy answers, no black and white. Just a cycle of pain and misery that has started to feed into itself.
Also, FFDP get way too much crap.
7261204 glAd to Be aCceptEd
7261246 He's speaking in third person, that would fit if he said "but do YOU believe," not "does anyone here believe"
7261342 Glad to hear
7261627 Certainly, but not the direction I'm aiming for. Cool idea tho :)
7261688 So first he has to fix Spike's view of her :)
7261832 It's a-comin'
I can't even begin to imagen what Spike will think once he realises why Jason did all this, knowing that the mare that he see as a sister was the very thing that completly and utterly destroyd a innocent beings life.
Never thought I would see this level of hatred for Jason.
I like it.
I will patiently await the next chapters, kildeez.
-Blondie
All I find myself hoping is that when the day comes and he has finally exacted his revenge upon the Mane Six and the initial euphoria of a "job well done" has passed, Jason will feel completely empty inside; no satisfaction, no lightening of his emotional burdens, just the grim realization that all the horrible things he's done to Twilight and the others have done nothing to make his life any better. Mind you, at this point I'm still wondering if he'll even stop at all...
Turn back, Jason, while you still have a conscience to ignore.
7260683
precisely. even if someone manages to sunder Jason, he's already outed the elements' dirty little secret. not only will they be psychologically scarred, but he murdered their reputation among the population; they'd be social pariahs, hypocrites to the very things they were supposed to stand for.
7260918
here's another FFDP song that fits the whole story.
damn just ran out of chanpters. funny thing is? i just re-read the whole story and i got to say......damn dude just damn.
We really need a chapter from Celestia's point of view, no?
I could have sworn this fic was dead! This is fantastic! glad to see the emperor is back to dealing out vengeance, and two chapters in one day? jeez dude, you deserve a cookie
I love how Rainbow's revenge was handled. It's a special kind of tragic, having someone who looked up to you a lot ending up causing you a lot of pain. Like a parent who's child has been badly hurt because of their mistakes.
Anyway, hope to see a new chapter soon, curious to how Dissy will be involved, or what he'll do.
7262122 ...I don't think that's how Memorial Day is supposed to work...
7262782 I figured I was already touching at that :)
7262143 Thank you!
7262189 We'll just have to find out
7262738 I can only hope you like where I go, and I'm so glad you're enjoying it so far!
7263201 Damn good to hear it
7263242 Don't worry, she's on her way
7263334 Ohohohoho no, none of my stories are dead, believe me.
7263380 I do hope you like it, now that he's obviously on his way.
7262782 But wouldn't that make the fic boring?... Also, why do you want him to be forgiving to the villains of the previous fic, who have done so many wrongs to him?... Then again I probably would have killed them by now if I were him, which wouldn't take nearly enough time for it to sink in, leaving me disappointed and empty too
7260346
And, if you look at the steadily growing amount of downvotes your comment is getting (10 at the time of this post, not counting mine) you will see that no one agrees with you, because the entire driving point of this fanfic thus far has flown right over your head.

Excellent...
7260346 Like I said: the point isn't that the ponies are victims of some kind of group mentality. They might have been, but shouldn't we expect a whole helluva lot more from national heroes that are supposed to set an example for the rest of their species?
7266373 No, Because that's assuming they are different from other ponies. It's like saying that just because George Washington was an american national hero, he didn't make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. And assuming that just because someone is a public icon, They don't make mistakes, Is incredibly stupid.
7266540 This was not just some innocent mistake though: this was a deliberate and calculated system of abuse that went on for years. We couldn't just shrug it off and say "everyone makes mistakes" if we found out George Washington was tying kittens up in bags and throwing them in rivers or beating the shit out of his wife on a regular basis, now could we?
7266543 Okay I'm convinced.
