this can only end in tears, blood, and destruction.

And I wanna see it all happen.

...I was about to say how unrealistic this sounded, when I realized that RB not paying attention in biology makes sense...:pinkiegasp:

459187 I would say that he has the right idea about the letters. Doing this usually makes it flow better in that it's easy to tell what parts are or are not the letters themselves.

This story has a lot of potential and you write well. This felt more like a prologue, so I'll hold back my 'Thumb' for now, but I'm definitely eager to see how you proceed with this one. You have my attention good sir! :ajsmug:

Magicked is that really a word?

Joking aside it was alright will see if worth the time in the coming days... I hope, write for me, write.

I also would like to say I really like your avatar.

And for the author, this looks promising. I shall follow.

What thought process do you have to go through to decide to write a story about one cartoon horse teaching another about periods? Why would you do this?

Wish we had a support group lead by Twilight in Hades, dood, all we got is Fenrich's support group, by which I mean he belittles us, calls us names useing big words that we don't understand or spell and sometimes, throws us against a wall and tell us to grow a pair, dood.

Decent story so far, dood.

I like the fact that the story ran at a pretty fast pace.

I'm not sure having periods would be a new thing for Rainbow Dash, since I'm pretty sure the mane 6 ponies in this show are in their early 20s, since they've all got jobs, live on their own, and don't go to school (except twilight of course; I guess she's on scholarship doing field research about friendship).

Anyway you did a good job keeping the ponies in character. That does seem like a dream Twilight would have, lol.

SageWise

While the characterization is excellent (I read Twilight's and Rainbow Dash's lines in their voices), Lauren Faust herself has said the ponies, if they were humans, would be anywhere from 16-20 years of age, due to living on their own as well as each having a steady job. Rainbow Dash would have had her menstrual period long before this. Now somepony like Scootaloo wondering why the hay she's bleeding so much after getting her cutie mark...THAT would be interesting!

Thanks for the feedback, everypony. I too think the mane six would be between 16 and 20 (probably Rarity being the oldest, Pinkie Pie youngest?) but I couldn't really think of a story where any of the CMC's would go to Twilight Sparkle first in such a predicament as their first menstruation. I'd imagine it possible that RD could be a very late starter - and I imagine her as being 16.

Anyhoo, I'm not the greatest of writers as you may be able to tell from some of my 'work' but I do hope the ideas I put across are at least interesting and somewhat different from the run of the mill fan-fics. After all, if you don't tell your foal about drugs, periods, rape and abduction... who will?

460554 RD was a much better choice than any of the CMC, as for the whole age thing; they're magic talking ponies, what age they actually hit puberty is up to the writer.

The story is an interesting concept, keep up the good work.

the average life span of a pony is about 25-30 years old, i think the mane 6 have 2, maybe 3 years old

like the story, i want more, NOW

Ponies would actually have an estrous cycle not a menstrual cycle (it means they would reabsorb the endometrium rather than shedding it). Sorry, I know it's dumb, but the whole period thing threw me out of the story. It would make more sense if RD was going through her first estrus and didn't understand what was happening... that might up your rating though.

Well, there's already been blood, so now we're just waiting on the tears and destruction. :pinkiehappy:

I really liked this first chapter. I hope to see more :heart::heart:

Finally updated! Yay!

D'aaaaaw, this is really cute. I used to have a real needle phobia as a kid...I kinda got over it as an adult but it didn't help that one time during a blood test the nurse was derpy eyed or something because she kept prodding me and couldn't hit the vein. Got so bad that I eventually nearly blacked out. My vision faded and everything sounded like it was coming from underwater. I changed doctors and haven't had that problem since, fortunately.

Is this story, or series of stories, going to revolve chiefly around Twilight and Rainbow Dash? If not you might want to think about changing the character icons in the story description.

Also, Rarity? Calling big Mac a poofter? Man I hope she ends up having to get a big rabies vaccination! Right in the rear!!

First off, the story was well-writing, you managed to keep the characters the same, and you brought up a common problem that all fillies would be originally scared of, dood. I won't lie, I was scared of vaccination shots too all based on the fact they plan on sticking something long a sharp in to my flesh, and made a big mistake of tensing my muscles just as the needle went in, so it hurt like heal and that fear became stronger. The next time I got over it, dood.

Secondly, I am now worried about all these fics that insinuate that Pinkie is doing something shady when the story isn't focused on her being herself, dood. (I am rather sure that all Pinkie does is bake, make ponies smile and laugh, throw parties, helping ponies, and just enjoying life, dood.)

Thirdly>>949687 what the hell is a poofter, dood?

949774

It's in the story. It's what Rarity called Big Macintosh. It's an anti-gay slur.

949789 Well in a fanbase where mares pretty much make up 80% of the population, saying something like is like making fun of a guy that likes anime in a anime-convention, or better yet, making fun of a Brony because he's a brony in Brony-Con

949835

I can't say I follow. You asked me what the word was and that's what it is.

949841 I was making analogies based using said word and said analogies r fixed on situation of Rarity gossiping on Big Mac, now that I re-read that comment, it made very little sense and it had no "dood", dood.

Damn, I wish I had a Twilight Sparkle to talk to when I had to get my shots. :unsuresweetie:

Pinkie has quite a few syringes laying around? No wonder she freaked out so badly when Mrs. Cake found her personal stash of "powdered sugar".
