:rainbowlaugh: Genius! That is pure genius! Oh that is going into my headcanon for Eauestria Girls! Even as a human Discord is the master of the mind screw!

“No, but there is something to be said for weapons that can shoot lethal rainbows at their target when used in tandem. The visual effects are just so satisfying.”

He has a point there Twi...

“I shouldn't have to steal what rightfully belongs to me,” Twilight continued, “so the only solution is to win it back!”

Twilight, you shouldn't have to win your crown back either. Entering the competition means accepting the possibility of losing.

You telling me that when you catch thieves in Equestria, you make the original owners compete with the thief in some manner for the right to regain their own stuff? I think not. If you wouldn't do it to your subjects, don't do it to yourself.

It's not stealing if it already belongs to you.

5554163 Twilight's logic is that she wants to get her crown back in the most inconspicuous way possible. If the crown were to go missing, most everyone would suspect the new student instantly (or at least someone would try to frame the new kid for it). If Twilight wins her crown back, though, she doesn't look suspicious and no one is the wiser about her true origins.

On the rest of that, you're completely right. You shouldn't have to win your stuff back if it's stolen.
