I know this is an old comment but I'll reply anyway. The reason for the holocaust was because Hitler felt that the Germane people needed scapegoats to distract them from the real issues that he could not fix while he focused on the war.

Over time, Hitler and his followers eventually began to either believe in their own propaganda or just decided to abuse the absolute power they had over the lives of other humans. Thus we move from making the Jews and other minorities scapegoats to torturing and murdering them.

Oh my fucking god that picture. I remember the hilarity when one poster on DeviantArt said it took Rainbow Dash photoshopped into that picture in order for him to feel bad about the holocaust.
