There's little things you hide and little things that you show. Sometimes you think you're gonna get it but you don't and that's just the way it goes .

Brooms McSweep, a lowly street sweeper, will do anything to win the admiration of his princess. This heralding night time adventure puts foe against foe as they try to find the heart of the matter.

Every day I try and do a writing practice lesson from an old school book i have. So today's lesson was "Write a short story using only dialogue". Sounds perfect considering that is one of the things i needed help with. So i figure why don't i kill two birds with one stone and make it a fan-fic too. That intro gives this story too much credit.

Um... wow. Well, like, but... ok. :pinkiegasp:

Poor Twilight. Why do I keep reading fics where bad stuff happens to her?

Oh well. Spike has a mustache. :moustache:

thanks for the response!

It would be hard to write a story with out a conflict, however i do plan on "trying" some comedies in the near future. Nothing outside of comic mischief for them in those.

If you were to write a story just out of dialogue, what would you write it about?

"Crazy" is putting it mildly. Still, it rings true, or as true as anypony's psychopathic fantasies can ring. Well done.

(I, by some lights, write too much dialogue. But I don't think I can pull off a story that's nothing but.)

Well then.

That escalated rather quickly.

Probably something as dark as this, now that I think about it. This style is well suited for stream-of-consciousness, psychopathic narrators.

I think I found an explanation as to why people are writing more anti-Twilight fan-fics these days. I will let Dennis explain:

In this case:

“Listen, unicorns growing wings is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical avionics ceremony." - Dennis

I think people are upset with how Twilight became a princess. Or not, I don't really know. I just watched that movie and something in my mind clicked (or broke).

Thank you. :)

Ha! I can see that. A little before it's time, though. The feudal monarchy has not suffered the passage from subject to citizen and the structure of the state would not be on the minds of subjects.

Actually, the state hadn't even manifested itself at that point. Government was more like a loose hierarchy of despots whose loyalty to the central authority was tentative...

Anywho, I see your point. I wasn't complaining about the number of such fics - I'm not even sure whether there are a lot or a few of them - but about my reading them on the basis of them being abusive to her. She's my favorite character, after all. :twilightblush:
