In honor of Nightmare Night, Twilight Sparkle invites Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash over to Ponyville Library for a sleepover. They end up telling scary stories around the fireplace, which is loads of fun; that is, until somepony’s story ends up being a little too scary.

Liam Haworth Christopher McGuinness sits down to write another fanfiction for one of his favorite shows, My Little Pony. However, accidentally pressing a series of keys brings him in contact with some floating equines. They appear to be astral projections of his beloved characters. They talk about his work. He falls into despair as the ponies known and loved criticize his writing. This is part of my general sort of trend towards self-satire as well as making fun of other authors. Be warned that, like other stuff that I've recently done, I wrote this with my brain turned off. And I mean really. Thanks for reading.
This story is a sequel to Trick and Treat: Pinkie Pie's Terrifying Tales
The Cutie Mark Crusaders once again come to Pinkie Pie for a scary story, and she makes the unusual choice to tell them one set in the world of The Enchanted Library with very little context.
In this tale, Twilight, Rarity, and their friends spend the night in the library, telling scary stories of their own. However, they discover that there may be more than one ghost in the library...
Written with Monochromatic's permission.
There is no need to have read the previous Pinkie Pie's Terrifying Tales. You should read The Enchanted Library before reading this; The Enchanted Kingdom on are not necessary.

You open this tome with a deep sense of dread. Inside its pages is another dimension - a dimension of friendship, a dimension of fear, a dimension of discord. You're moving into a land of both misfortune and magic, of horse things and weirdness. You've just clicked on a crossover called the Starlight Zone.
Going Home - Pinkie Pie awakens in a world of strangers where she desperately searches for any familiar face and a way back to to the world that knew her.
The Escapist - An overworked Rarity is tormented by an antique store ponnequin that seems to have a will of its own.
As a chiropterophile, I must confess to being very disappointed at the plethora of fics written after the episode "Bats!" Despite the bats in the episode being merely regular bats who live off fruit juice, the idea of bats as evil and supernatural bloodsuckers was apparently just too strong for many to resist. Even "Flutterbat" is often given supernatural powers and made a bloodsucker.
One day I actually posted to the comments section of one story pointing all this out. But then it occurred to me...rather than critiquing others' fics (which each of us should be free to write as we see fit), how about I fight back instead with a parody of the whole "bat=vampire" thing that bothers me so much? Thus, this fic, which is "meta" because the actual stories are referenced and parodied in the person of a young vampire fruit bat who reads them and gets ideas in his head.
To most people bats as vampires is fun. Considering that bats are a very vulnerable population and that stereotypes can have terrible real world consequences, I do not. I write this story not to criticize anyone else but merely to have some fun with the whole ludicrous concept.
It's a little unusual, but I hope some of you will enjoy it.
This story features a special guest appearance by Pinkiewise (from "Lauren Faust's IT!" and "She Saw the Light") and was pre-read by my old friend rye.bread.

If you read “Pinkie Watches Paint Dry” by AbsoluteAnonymous and thought, “I wonder what this would be like if it was written by a talent-less hack whose only original idea is dying on its arse, weighed down by a fraction of the maturity and a modicum of the emotional depth”, then this is the story for you!
