Sonata enjoys a day without Adagio and Aria pushing her around and calling her stupid, and what a day it is when she goes to the park the zoo and the mall for some well needed her time with no yelling.
After the battle of the bands, the Dazzlings return to there home. Adagio starts to blame Sonata and Aria for not being strong enough and Aria starts to yell back. Sonata try's to stop the fight but both Adagio and Aria Yells at her to butt out. Tears fill Sonata's eyes and she runs to her room for the night, listening to Adagio and Aria yell for several more hours. The next day, Sonata slips out of the house with some pocket money and just spends the day by herself, after all she didn't want to be yelled at anymore.
She heads to the park where she runs into Fluttershy. Then to the Zoo, with a meeting with Pinky Pie. Then to the mall, and Rarity Boutique.
After the battle of the bands, the Dazzlings return to there home. Its a beautiful 3 bedroom Apartment not too far from Canterlot High. Adagio throws the couple piece of her broken necklas on the counter. She turns to Sonata and Aria.
"YOU TWO WERE WORTHLESS OUT THERE."
"What do you mean we were worthless. You got your butt handed to you too ya know. " Aria snapped back at her.
"Well maybe we wouldn't have lost so bad if you and Sonata were stronger. Now what will we do? With out our magic we won't get whatever we want, we might have to move or worse, get a job in this worthless world. " Adagio stated
"Come on a job wouldn't be that bad." Sonata said trying to break up the tension.
"That is the dumbest thing you have ever said Sonata "Aria crossed her arms
"Do you even realize what has happened Sonata. We.. Have.. No.. Magic.." Adagio said the words slowly to Sonata hoping it would sink in. "And without it we can't control people around her to do our bidding." She added with some sass at the end. "No one will adore us anymore." Adagio said as she sat on the couch hunched over.
"Well maybe you should have let me lead." Aria stared at Adagio. She hunched against the wall and crossed her arms. "Then we might have won."
"HA!" Adagio laughed as she sat back on the couch. "You would have lead us no where fast Aria."
Aria opened her mouth to strike back, but before she could say a word Sonata stepped in.
"It'll be ok. We will make it through this just like we did when we first got here." Sonata said with a smile.
"Are you that Stupied Sonata?!" Adagio said with a sarcastic tone.
"We made it through cause we had our magic. Gosh will you just think things through for once." Aria added
Sonata's started like she was going to cry. She knew they had no magic but she thought as long as they were together it would be ok, they could work together to figure it out. She stormed off to her bedroom, and closed the door and laid down on her bed hugging her pillow.
"I was only trying to help." Sonata said softly to herself.
Adagio and Aria went back and forth for a few more hours about who was to blame for the loss of their magic. At around midnight they both stormed into there rooms. Adagio into the largest bedroom in the house, it was the only one with its own personal bathroom. An Aria into her bedroom. For the rest of the night, the apartment was quiet.
Morning came and Sonata woke up before the other two. In the top drawer of her dresser was a small jewelry box with a picture of a sleeping white wolf on it. This is were she would hide her own personal stash of money. She grabbed some money and quietly closed her bedroom door, tip toeing past Aria's room and to the kitchen. She grabbed her keys and left the house. Sonata stood a the door for and minute, thinking about if she should really leave for the day.
"No, I have to do this." She said to herself. "All Adagio and Aria will do is yell some more and if I'm not here they can't yell at me."
While Sonata was walking down the street she had a smile on her face, 'What a nice Saturday this is', she thought to herself. She then sighed, 'I wish Adagio and Aria would see a bright side. At least we didn't get hurt or get sent to another world where we would have to start over again. At least starting over in this world without magic will be a little easier since we already kinda know this world.'
Sonata stopped at the entrance to a park. 'This looks fun.' Sonata said as she noticed a small fair like event going on. She looked at the sign that was hanging on the park entry way, 'Pet adoption special event, I wonder whats so special about it.' She thought to herself as she as she started to walk to the event.
As she got near, there was a water and cotton candy cart. "Ooo Yummy." Sonata said with excitement. She walked up to the stand, "One of each." She told the merchant, and handed him some money. Sonata then started to walk the fair enjoying her sugary treat.
"BARK, BARK" Sonata turned her head to the noise as she took another bite of her treat. "So Cute." She looked over into a playpen with puppies, running, barking, and playing with each other. "I wish I could bring you home, but Adagio would be so angry at me. Especially now that we don't have our magic." Sonata sighed dropping her arms to her side.
The little white puppy that she was excited over ran over to her and jumped up on the fence, "BARK, BARK." Sonata had the biggest smile on her face, "But I can find no reason why I can't stay and play with you for a while." She said as she started to scratch under the little puppies chin.
Fluttershy was walking towards the puppy tent with 3 large boxes in her hand, puppy toys, collars, and leashes, since the fair had just started she was still quietly setting up. The other kids from the Eco Club were handling the paper work and animal sales part. Sonata had turned to walk away before she could wave bye to the little pup she crashed into Fluttershy. They both fell to the ground and the boxes opened up and emptied everywhere.
"Hey, watch it." Sonata said as she stood up dusting off her clothes.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Fluttershy gently spoke as she started to clean up the mess.
Sonata and Fluttershy's eyes meet, Fluttershy let out a small 'Epp' scream.
"You. Your from that band that broke our pendants." Sonata stated pointing right at Fluttershy.
"I.. Um... The Rainbooms." Fluttershy said softly as she was putting stuff in the boxes as quickly as possible so she could run away.
Sonata sighed. She knew that she was not liked, anymore, an she could tell that Fluttershy wanted to get away from her. "I'm... I'm sorry I knocked you over." Sonata managed to say with her eyes closed and her head tilted. "Look I know you and the whole school don't like us but we still have to live around each other, so... for me anyway, I'm going to try... " Sonata stopped mid sentence as she noticed the other Eco kids were starting to circle her, with quite the look of dislike on their faces.
"Your from that group that brainwashed us!" One of them yelled out.
"What are you even doing here!" Another added.
"I bet she wants revenge, I saw her knock down Fluttershy!"
"No, we just bumped into each other." Sonata pleaded
One of the Eco kids tossed a yogurt cup at Sonata, just missing her. Then more and more food items started to get tossed her way. Sonata covered her head and started to run out of the park.
"Stop, wait." Fluttershy tried to say but no one could her over everyone else making noise, yelling at Sonata to get out and leave.
Sonata Hind behind a tree, out of breath, she sat down and laid her head against the tree looking up at the clouds that were moving by.
In all the commotion, one of the kids knocked one of the panels over from the puppy pen. "Oh man, I hope none of the puppies got loose." One of the Eco kids said and he fixed the gate and walk over the other and helped cleaned up the mess.
Fluttershy put the boxes by the puppy and when she saw a little white puppy sitting on the other side of the tent.
"BARK"
"How did you get out?" Fluttershy asked as she started to walk towards him.
The little puppy wagged his tail and started to run through the trees.
"Wait little guy." Fluttershy said as she started to run off towards him.
The little puppy jumped into Sonata's lap, "Oh, hey little guy how did you get out." She said as she scratched behind his ears.
Fluttershy hid behind a near-by tree, peaking around the corner. She watched as the little puppy wagged it's little tail and Sonata smiled and was petting him.
"You can come home with me, but I don't know how I will get you back into the puppy pen. All those kids will most defiantly think that I was trying to take you or something and throw more food at me." Sonata said.
"I guess you can't be all that bad if that little puppy likes you." Fluttershy said softly, holding her hands together as she walked up to Sonata.
Sonata jumped up. "Hey, I didn't take him, he just ran into my lap. Please don't toss more food at me." Sonata said as she bowed her head handing the puppy towards Fluttershy.
Fluttershy took the puppy, "I'm not going to throw food at you, and I followed the puppy trying to get him back into the pen, so I know you didn't take him."
Sonata looked at Fluttershy, "Look I'm sorry for bumping into you earlier."
"I forgive you for that. It's just after the battle of the bands, I'm not too sure what to think of you and the other two." Fluttershy said now hugging the little puppy. "But I know people can change if they really want to", She added with a smile. "After all look at Sunset Shimmer."
"Yea, I remember Adagio telling us about her." Sonata said tapping her chin with her finger. "Look I can't talk for Adagio and Aria, but for me I hope one day we can make a new start."
Sonata wanted to have people like her but she knew she can't make them like her anymore. "I'm going to try this, a, nice thing that I saw on the TV. An maybe one day we could be friends." Sonata smiled holding her hands together.
"FLUTTERSHY!" Yelling from the distance over and over again.
"Oh", Fluttershy said as she turned towards the noise, "I should be going back, But Yes I think maybe one day we could be friends." She said with a smile on her face.
Fluttershy walked back towards the fair. Sonata smile, 'maybe this nice thing might work out', she thought to herself and she started to leave the park.
Sonata walked down the city road kicking a rock with her arms crossed. ''What should I do now'', she thought out loud to herself.
All of a sodding she was grabbed from behind and pulled towards the entrance to the City Zoo. "You can help me sell some sweets", Said hyperly by a pink haired girl.
"Wait..." Sonata said trying to get the girl to stop. 'I think I know this girl, but what is she doing, and why me', she thought to herself.
"Don't worry silly, Fluttershy messaged me and told me all about the park. " She turned her head and smiled at Sonata. "I'm Pinkie Pie, If you can't remember my name." Pinkie had the biggest and kindest smile on her face. "And we are going to have so much fun."
Sonata forced a smile while being dragged by Pinkie.
They had reached a cotton candy stand that was next to an Alligator pit. The Stand was bright pink with blue strips across it. Pinkie opened the back of the stand an inside it was different color sugars, and different colored sticks. Pinkie turned on the machine and dumped in some sugar. Sonata watched in pure amazement as Pinkie grabbed 2 sticks and stuck them in the swirling sugar and pulled out the most perfect sticks of cotton candy with the perfect swirl of rainbow colors. She stuck the sticks on top of 2 hats and handed one to Sonata.
"Here put this on so people will know your with me." Pinkie said as she herself put on the other hat.
Sonata grabbed the hat and smiled. As she placed it on her head she asked "Why did you grab me and why do you want my help? I mean I did try to help take over your school."
Pinkie Pie giggled " Yeah, that was kinda fun." Sonata look confused.
"If you guys hadn't try to take over the school with dark magic, then we wouldn't have been able to fix our band to become even more awesome. Then Twilight wouldn't have come to visit again, and Sunset Shimmer wouldn't have become part of our band. So it was fun, and now Sunset gets to play with us instead of just watching us play." Pinkie laughed, " I bet that would make a great movie." She said with a smile.
Sonata smiled and for a while just watched in continued amazement at the clear skill Pinkie had at creating beautiful candy art with the cotton candy. Sonata interlocked her fingers and walked behind Pinkie, "Can, can I try." She asked as if she knew that the answer would be no.
Pinkie's eyes lite up, "OF COURSE" she said with the biggest smile ever. "First thing you got to do is dump in the amount of sugar you are going to use, each one of the colors has a little cup that tells you how much to use. For example the blue one you can see on the cup it has 4 lines, If your going to use just blue you will fill the cup to the top, If your going to use blue and pink you will fill the blue up only 2 lines, and if your,''
Sonata interrupted, "Ok, I get that part. Then what."
Pinkie giggled, " Well you dump the sugar in here one color at a time and then take the stick here and wrap it around the spinning sugar. Once it looks done you pull it out. Easy-pezy Lemon squeezy. "
Sonata tried one color first, she dumped in the sugar and stuck in the stick, and swirled it and swirled it and the sugar wrapped up the stick and around her hand. Sonata jumped back with a squeak.
"Awwe, that's ok try again." Pinkie said as she helped wipe off the sugar and handed Sonata another stick.
Sonata got sugar over her hand the next 5 times. Before she even tried again she sat down knees bent and arms cross over them. "I'm useless. " Sonata then stuck her head on her knees.
"No your not," Pinkie said as she stuck out her hand towards Sonata. "Your trying and giving it your all and that's all that matters."
Sonata looked up and wiped a small tear from her eye. She reached out and grabbed Pinkies hand, with a small smile on her face.
"See, Trust old Pinkie Pie." Pinkie said as she pulled Sonata quickly to her feet. "Now, give it one more shot and this time try moving the stick up and down, and watch the sugar. If it starts to get close to your hand, pull the stick up."
Pinkie handed Sonata another stick. Sonata thought to herself, 'I wish she would have told me that little tip sooner.'
"Silly. I would have told you sooner but you were getting all worked up and you wouldn't have listen to me." Pinkie said with a smile.
Sonata looked confused, 'how did she know what I was thinking.' Sonata forced a smile on her face, the corner of her lip twitching. "Ok?"
Sonata looked at the cotton candy machine, focused, ready. She dumped in the sugar and started to create a cotton candy stick. Once the Stick was full she pulled it out, stuck her arm out and held it up high and yelled "I DID IT!"
**BAM**
Sonata jumped, quickly pulling her arms in close to her, with a look of shock on her face. Pinkie Pie had fired off her party canon. "HOORAY SONATA!" Pinkie yelled as confetti and streamers started to fall everywhere.
"Where did you get a canon?" Sonata asked smiling but still confused.
"Oh I keep them all over town," Pinkie leaned in towards Sonata's ear "Just in case I need to celebrate something" Pinkie whispered to Sonata, but something told Sonata that, that was no big secret.
*Buzz Buzz* Pinkie picked up and looked at her phone. She gasped in a way only Pinkie would gasp. "Rarity is in need of one more model for her fashion show. She says that one of her models dropped out due to being sick or something.''
Sonata looked at Pinkie.
"Oh my gosh, Sonata you should go."
"Wait, What, No? I don't even know her and remember the whole Dazzlings thing. And besides she asked you.'' Sonata said with a panic. 'Just cause 2 of them like me doesn't mean anyone else from that school will.'
"Oh, your being silly and besides I already told Rarity I was sending someone else." Pinkie said while grabbing the hat off Sonata's head and pushing her towards the zoo's exit. "Go on, it will be fun. Rarity's store is the Carousel Boutique right outside the mall." Pinkie giggled, "You can't miss it."
Sonata started to walk toward the mall looking back to see Pinkie Pie waving good-bye. She still had her one good cotton candy stick in her hand and decided on the way there she was going to just eat it.
Pinkie smile "I didn't tell Rarity who I was sending," Giggling.
