Christmas is usually meant to be a time of happiness and merriment, one in which family gathers together and celebrates what matters most in life. However, this isn't so easy for all of us, especially when family is far away or split up.

Misty finds herself struggling with the holiday season for this very reason, considering her rather unsual family dynamic. Can her friends make this a Christmas to remember?

This story is a sequel to Thomas and Friends: Mystery on the Golden Arrow

Misty and Alphabittle have been invited to attend the Dean Forest Railway's Autumn Gala, and things seem to be going normally for the most part. However, the locals seem oddly cagey about the local region, and warn them about the land that lies beyond the end of the line.

One day, Misty finds herself on the other side of the barrier. Thrust face to face into a nightmarish struggle between good and evil, can she and her new allies escape the forest and its strange disease? Or will she remain trapped in the woods- forever?

An original story inspired by the Friendship is Magic episode A Health of Information, but played explicitly for horror. Written to mark the 40th anniversary of Thomas and Friends, and my contribution to the Infection craze currently sweeping the fandom.
