Equestria is in the 3,050th year of Celestia's reign, and the nation is experiencing a technological renaissance. In recent years, spurred by the possibility of another invasion and unburdened in a time of peace, ponies have advanced in leaps and bounds. Items once thought to be fantasy—self-drawn carriages, digital computers, and advanced communications equipment, as well as flying machines—have risen into prominence in the last fifty years, partially through the rediscovery of old technology. The most prominent advancement, however, are 'Mechs: giant, towering machines capable of lifting tons of cargo onto airships and aircraft alike. They also serve another purpose: combat. BattleMechs, military versions of the civilian IndustrialMechs, are armed to the teeth with guns, missiles, and lasers. Powered by mighty fusion reactors, their very presence makes Equestria seem invincible to another attack.

If only it were that easy.

Long has Equestria been under the watchful eye of mysterious, ancient powers. Now, they are back to reclaim the land of Equis from the traitors who made themselves the rulers of Equestria, and the cowardly ponies they lead. Soon, Equestria and the planet it occupies will be in a fight for their very existence, across hills and deserts and alpine slopes. And it could very well be their last stand.

EQ3050 takes place after Season 5, and therefore, all events after the Friendship is Magic Season 5 finale are non-canon to this book. Knowledge of BattleTech and the BattleTech universe is not required to understand this story.

I'm a bit surprised.

Follow Sunset Harvest on her first adventure, travelling from her childhood home in Sen Kinh, to Canterlot, Equestria. Will she make it there in one piece, and on time for her first quarter? There's a mystery brewing aboard the Austere Bolt that could lead to a little more than just a migration for the Kirin and her new friends, and Sunny volunteers to stop them, which leads to a reveal, one that shakes Sunny's perception of reality and myth for the rest of her life. Sometimes, Legends and Myths carry truth. And sometimes, that truth can be dangerous.

This is a parodied universe to Equestria at War with my own bs'd lore and culture, at this point. Don't come here for world accuracy, come here for a treasure hunting adventure, because that's what you're getting.

My friends, brother and I were on our way to our first convention. A ghostly being at a rest stop summoned us to another world, filled with ponies and magic. But wait. I don't recognize any of these ponies from the show. And they're all anthro?

One day, a creature insanely similar to a monkey arrived here. It doesn't say which species it belongs to, and it's not like anyone was interested enough to ask. Despite its weak and very primitive appearance, it immediately began to make a mess of the city.
