And you know what that means: NaPoWriMo is here! And as such, I'll be slaving away at yet another project for the next 30 days. This novel is called Breaking Stone.
I don't have a full description written yet, but it's a novel that focuses on overcoming fear. So what better villains to have than the gorgon sisters?
Some months ago, I talked about Cleverpun's Break Away collaboration. The premise of the story is that the Princesses have come up with a plan to destroy the Alicorn Amulet - it is too powerful to simply be snapped in half, but every time a pony willingly defies its power, it loses a bit of its strength.

So I don't really have much to share this month. I've been updating "Do Ponies on Earth Have Magic Dreams" pretty regularly and trying to get more feedback on that, I've been trying to go back to school so I can get a teaching credential, and all in all, I've been trying to just get through every week without feeling like I'm being crushed by stress and anxiety, which is actually why I've been looking at a career shift.

Let's get the second part of that out of the way first:
Sorry for not updating. I messed up some finals and I have to swot up some more for a retry. So while I expected to be able to relax with some writing for a few weeks, it turns out that the status of school is still in. So you can trust me when I say I'm sorry, because I really want my summer-break.
I want everyone to know I'm not dead. I've just decided to take a break to do some non MLP FIM related fics on Fanfiction.net. I have 3 already so click the link if you're interested. None are displaced related... so far.

Well, okay. That’s not completely it. It does have one of the better Alice moments, where she and Edward have both gotten Bella gifts and each wants to give theirs first:

Bella has another dream about the immortal child, again with the Volturi coming for him, only this time she feels powerful and wants to protect him. Why? ’Cause he’s purty? Didn’t you hear about all the destruction they could cause? The Volturi are trying to keep vampires secret and keep humans from hunting them down. It’s not like they’re stomping around, going, “No fun allowed!” It’s like they’re trying to keep you from skating somewhere because that somewhere is a minefield. When she wakes
You know things are even worse when you feel tired for complaining about all the padding.
Jacob arrives at the Cullens’ and finds a fresh set of clothes waiting for him. As he’d torn his last set changing when he left the house last chapter, he’s grateful. He re-enters the living room and finds that it’s back to mostly normal, with no hospital bed or anything. Bella hears Jacob enter and her face lights up.
What do I look like? A writer? You need some good prose? You need some good characters? TOO BAD. They’re mine. You’re not getting anything.
Waiting for the damn book to end already. Notice something different about the chapter title? For the next ten or so chapters, the book’s narrated by Jacob instead of Bella. And if he’s anything like he was at the end of Eclipse, this is going to be painful. VERY. VERY. PAINFUL.

Been rather out of it recently, though part of that's because I'm not getting enough sleep. In addition I've been back on the video game front recently; C&C Remastered was released on Steam recently, and I want to get to the point where I can bring myself to start recording a playthrough of the old game Legend of Kyrandia 2: The Hand of Fate.
So, probably a short one, here.
I’ve just about got the grimdark story I teased last time finished. All it lacks is some proof reading and editing to make things mesh together properly. That said, I’ve not focused on any other story for nearly a week. Which means I don’t know whether my other Halloween fic will get done on time. I might wind up being late, with that one, especially seeing as I need a bit of a break, after writing Carnivore.
I'm fine. Or trying to be.
Life sometimes feels like a rollercoaster. Minus the safety harnesses.
Motivation comes and goes. There are times when I feel like writing or just playing a game, but the next minute I find myself moping around feeling down in the dumps for no reason at all.
