After almost 19 years, my mother alarm stopped working today. Well, in other words she didn't wake me up when she usually does. Now, this is not to say that I'm a lazy and irresponsible person that needs to be got up, just that my house is very loud when she is getting my brothers ready for school, and it's hard not to wake up from that.
It's a thing I wrote while mostly-asleep last night. It's a garbage fire of semi-connected thoughts, meme references, and scenarios that characters canonically would probably not even touch with a 10-footlong stick.
Nevermind the fact that I didn't even have a coherent plot the entire time I spent writing the thing.
There are tons of crossovers out there. But there's not one for the Don't Escape or Deep Sleep series. Those were some interesting (if a bit hard to figure out at times) games, so I find that a bit puzzling. Back in the day they were flash games, but they've since been ported to STEAM.
I guess that means that the basic idea of it is prime material to rip-off and use here.....assuming I can work up the motivation and inspiration to do so.

Full disclosure, at the time of writing this I am barely hanging on after an all nighter. Man, I really don't handle these as well as I did in college...
...In retrospect, I probably didn't handle them very well in college either.
Well, I am not happy with my progress..
I only managed 26% of my chapter, and time is growing short. I'm sorry you guys, I'm still trying to get as much out of this, but I can't squeeze more creative juice out of... Okay that's a bad example, but you get my meaning.
I'm really trying, but when push comes to show, I rather my chapters are as good as I feel I can make them instead of rushed and with a lot of words with no meaning.
Ugh, guys, the holidays got me stressing hard.

Having thrown my circadian rhythms completely off (basically becoming nocturnal in the process), I've decided to spend my now open nights doing what any normal sane human might do: toiling away at the ol' keyboard, revising and writing new chapters and ideas (some of those ideas being projects I'm excited to share down the line!). So, with my former living quarters currently undergoing renovations, and with my usual bed and mattress currently lacking any space to use them (our house isn't that large), I have been sleeping less soundly than I'm accustomed to.
I had an honestly strange morning today. I woke up feeling like utter crap. Not the sick kind, but the depressed kind. Considering how my day went yesterday, that didn't really surprise me. Anyways, I woke up at about 4:50, and lay in bed just staring at my clock until around 6:40. Got up and loaded up my computer and put on my headphones. I was hoping some music would help, and Black Gryph0n usually lifted my mood.
That didn't really help.
Spike had this wonderful dream of bedding Rarity... only to wake up and find another pony with his seed instead... Awkward!

If I was on a train or public transportation, I wouldn't mind so much.
But when you're driving, it takes a lot more out of you and you can't do much more than just focus on the road or listen to music/podcasts or think.
I like to think. It's nice to have some quiet time.
However, I'm tired when I get home, and after doing the daily household stuff and preparing for tomorrow, I don't have a lot of time or energy for anything else.
