Halloween isn't far off from now, so I figured I'd take this time to tell you a short ghost story. It's from a time long ago when we were living in our second house after some family issues put us in a position we couldn't stay there anymore. It wasn't a willing decision, and we would most certainly still be there to this day if things were different, but we had no choice.
Is Teenagers sneaking out of their house to party a stereotype? If so, how common is this? And why?
Hey everypony!
Just wanted to remind y'all that the deadline for Nightmare Night in April submissions is next weekend. Even if you haven't started, you've still got plenty of time to sit down and write something, so don't delay!
...and yet this picture still manages to frighten me.
OK, so if you liked Pound Cake x King Sombra OTP, then you might also like Adagio Dazzle and the Legend of the Naan Bread.
Or you probably won't. I dunno. Give it a try; it's only a very short story. Then we'll know for sure, won't we?
First of all, our riff of the first four chapters of "The Catch" by kudzuhaiku is complete and you can read it here. It kinda turned into the Steel and Sigma Show really quickly, and they completely spun the narrative and characters in a ludicrous new direction.
== Attention, fellow bronies! ==
Chapter 2 of Trixie's Alter Ego is still in the works and it's nearing completion.
And since it contains frightening nature and horrifying details of warping reality [Sorry. Not gonna spoil it for you!], I think I might upload this chapter on Halloween night!
Give or take the day after.
Look forward to lose your minds with fear in my newest installment of this amazing horror!
hello all
we are currently in a temporary living accommodation with a friend/acquaintance. we managed to get all our important things into storage, and have escaped our previous scary landlord/tenancy situation.
then our paypal was locked for such a high volume of donations.
yes, you literally helped us so much it broke the internet.
Well, I'm very happy they finally added Grogar into the current generation and here's hoping he comes into the next.
But what I'm wondering is what happened to Bray?
In previous generations, Spike and Scorpan were the servitors to the big bad but now have been reimagined as heroes or defectors.
But what about this servitor who went one step further, carrying on his master's work?
Ladies and gentlemen, Purple Patch's Bray.
Ok so very quickly, I want to say that the Halloween special will certainly come out tonight...had to pull a few all nighters for it...but it's done. Not going to break that promise...but I might not make it for the 7:00 time slot...I might be a few hours late getting to it because I'm still in the editing stage right now. So if you don't see it up at 7/8/ whatever your time zone is, don't worry, it's still coming, it'll just be a few hours late. Still check back at 7, I'll try to get it out on
Meant to post this a few days ago, but there's still plenty of time on this.
It's April, which means it's time for the annual Horror Write-Off I run every year, Nightmare Night in April!
The event is simple: in order to encourage more horror writing, I hold a write-off event in which anyone can submit a Horror Story, to be compiled by April 30th, the opposite day of the year from Halloween!
In a discord, I just remarked:
But how do you feel about crediting ideas somewhere, in Author's Note or LD?
I am in favor of crediting inspirations, that is ALL OVER my back catalog.
I also know at least one person who is like 'eh, ideas are not for crediting, they belong to everyone.'
And it is true that some ideas are available to everyone. Like..."I want to write Rainbow x Gilda." That might not require a VAST amount of creativity until you actually write it.
There was a gloomy donkey, who lived a gloomy life
He had three gloomy children beside his gloomy wife
He lived upon a gloomy yard and worked his gloomy trade
By digging lots of gloomy graves with just his gloomy spade
But then one gloomy evening within that gloomy yard
The donkey dug a grave so deep it dug up something hard
All clean and pale and beautiful with pretty, pearly teeth
A pair of mighty curling horns but what lay underneath?
