Part 4: Closing Ceremonies
Part 4: Closing Ceremonies
BronyCon 2019…not just my second BronyCon, but the final BronyCon. I had been looking forward to coming to this convention since that fateful announcement at BronyCon 2018 that this would indeed be the final one. And it took quite a bit of sacrifices to actually get there, as a job loss and a lawsuit did my wallet no favors.
Against all odds, I actually went to Bronycon this year.
Though it's a little strange. Being able to attend Bronycon feels like an absurd luxury I didn't expect to ever afford. I guess I'm just so used to being the one that says: Well I'm glad those other people had such a nice time that it feels incredibly strange to get to participate. And it feels wrong for me to go to something that so many others can't go at all.
So, who is hyped for BronyCon 2019! With such a big lineup including Bonnie Zacherle and Lauren Faust themselves, this is truly shaping up to be a con to be remembered!
In that spirit, I have gone over the posts that I made of BronyCon 2018, reminiscing of the memories that were made then. And I'm really looking forward to making new ones now.
I'm the one on the far left, kneeling at the front. Also, stupid sexy Sunchaser
First of all, yes, that is me in the profile pic. Thanks to Corejo for taking the original.
Yes, you--the one I met at BronyCon.
Do you realize you're awesome? Yes, without exception. The types of awesomeness vary, but you've all got it it one form or another. There is nothing I would like more than to list all of you, along with your unique types of awesomeness.
My first Bronycon! :> My first convention ever, really. I've wanted to go for a while now, since I usually knew a few friends that would be going, and this year's the first that I can!
It'd be neat to meet some of you there :) I'll probably hang around the fabled Writer's Room or whatever they call it. If not, I'll be wandering around the halls either filming a youtube video or trying to figure out what you're supposed to do at these things besides film youtube videos.
I decided to post my memories of Bronycon 2018. While I am no stranger to fan conventions, I’ve been to an anime convention in the past, this was my first Pony convention.
Part 1: Thursday and Friday
Poor overworked obabscribbler often prefaces her posts with something to the effect of "this should have been posted long ago, but it's late because I'm made of fail." And I have to take the same mea culpa here, as part 2 came so long ago. Some final thoughts after the break.

Thursday, August 1, 2019: The First Day of the Final BronyCon
Otherwise known as Bronycon 2015, for those of you that don't speak horse.
Well, it's that time of year again, much like how three days ago, it was that time of year again. Bronycon 2015 has come to a grand and sad conclusion, and already I'm back at my computer, at home, typing this up to relive those moments just one more time.
From 3-hour lines to terrible and drunken clop story readings late at night, it was a wild time.
I've got three post BronyCon posts to make. I want to make one for each panel I was on, covering a few things I didn't get to or thought up later, linking to relevant people and things, etc. Those should be interesting and informative even if you didn't go to BronyCon. This post is the "I had so much fun and met so many cool people!" post, along with notes for next year, and thank yous to the wonderful friends who made this so much fun. So skip this one if those annoy you, but you might want to
After hours and hours of asking if we're there yet and insisting Sunset Shimmer is best pony, Corejo and Wanderer D let me go home. I think they just wanted me to stop bothering them. Or something.
Huzzah!
A proper post-Bronycon blog will come later.
First off, I rescued an alpaca plushie from quills and sofas where he seems to have been abandoned friday and never rescued. If anyone knows who his owner is please put them in touch so he can get home. I'll gladly keep him, but I hate the idea that someone is missing him.
