The insanity that is a con. Also found a lost alpaca · 4:56pm Aug 12th, 2015

First off, I rescued an alpaca plushie from quills and sofas where he seems to have been abandoned friday and never rescued. If anyone knows who his owner is please put them in touch so he can get home. I'll gladly keep him, but I hate the idea that someone is missing him.

Bronycon is over and it was a whirlwind of friends and laughter and tears and noise and so so much pony. I t was an exhausting and terrifying run up, and now that it's over the con crash can set in, but til then I can still smile that it happened.

I know better folks than I are doing posts that talk about what they got up to but I've not that kinda focus and so this is simply me listing off specific memories and comments and thanks to folks.

I met so many amazing folks and sadly missed a few as well. A handful of the excellent folks I met are below, though I've no doubt I forgot plenty of names too.

GaPJaxie, You're still a jerk but I'll keep editing for you if you ask, though since that requires you to tell me, it might take a while. I'm sorry my hair didn't smell sufficiently green for you, I'll make sure to fix that in future by either rolling in grass or just dying it a different shade. I'll never forget Ed and Bad Horse exclaiming in shock over how young you are at the dinner.
Bookplayer who is surprisingly, despite being such a huge name to me, a very normal and friendly person and I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to chat more with you, though I talked plenty with James and Trixie.
Aquaman for being so kind as to let me steal your book, applejack flavoured lip balm, bed, and knock over your water, in no particular order
Olden Brony for being so kind as to like me without being a friend and thus obligated to be nice and for accepting that despite my dudeness online, I am indeed a female.
Skywriter for being so fun to chat with and discuss Tam Lin endings.
SR Foxley for making such awesome TSSSF Cards, the evil CMC will always be my faves.
Pascoite for giving me a piece of him that I can keep in my pants.
Applejinx for running Quills and Sofas with aplomb and excellent helpers and for another hilarious Hoof Of Argon panel.
Pen Stroke, it was awesome hang out and sorry for making you worry when I was crying.
Captain Chryssalid for being so patient that I was too distracted to read your excellent chapter so many times.
Archonix for making beautiful pictures for me. We'll somehow get English candy over here eventually.
Cold In Gardez for finding time for us to hang out and chat like we've been planning for ages and for putting up with my helpless laughter at the awed reactions to you y your fans.
Totallynotabrony for being willing to introduce me to Wolf albeit briefly and letting me harrass you to write more Sail Canvas.
El Dorado for sharing your favourite terrible stories and getting a disturbing amount read at Hoof of Argon.
Arad for being nice to me despite my admission that his characters drove me mental.
Shalroth for accepting that while his fics are awesome, I'm not a fan of Sci-fi and ponies

Wanderer D, Alexstrasza, Zyrian, Skeeter, and Midnight Dancer for continuing to be kind, friendly and awesome in person, despite my nerdiness.
Golden Vision, Captain Unstoppable, Aquaman, Sunchaser, Jake The Army Guy, Tayman, Geev's friend Steve, and folks I know I'm forgetting for letting me stay with you for several nights and accepting me introducing you to hilarious abridged series as repayment.

Corejo, Razgriz, Redsquirrel, Csquarade, Pav, and Professor Plum for being so much fun to hang out with despite my vanishing during the podcast.

AppleJinx, JedimasterEd, Bad Horse(posing as Nice Horsey), Archonix, and Pascoite for helping remind me that you can adore ponies even if you're ostensibly a mature adult.

Pegasus Rescue Brigade, Pascoite, Cupcakesnom, Aquaman, Bradel Bound, Abagovicodin, Alexstrazsa and Cold In Gardez for being awesome EQD folks.

Everyone at Quills and Sofas for being so much fun and so many ridiculous ideas that will likely end up on this site in some form or another.

I'll make sure to post when the panels I was part of go live so if you didn't get to see me be ridiculous in person, you'll still have a chance.

Some of my favourite memories: getting caught in a downpour walking to the liquor store and hunting for umbrellas in the mall. Poor Tay being taken by the vashta nerada and then Jake and I pretending to be a cute heterosexual couple sharing an umbrella in the rain.

Jinx discussing playing TSSF and using wildfire's inferno to utterly wipe the board despite other players actually trying to have plans.

Hanging out in the hotel room overfilled and making a drinking game from terrible books. Cap sweaing Jake in to his frat and being next door hearing shouting from the homosexual cuteness.

Too many gigantic games of CaH in hotel rooms that somehow didn't explode at the seams (This is a recurring theme.)

Intellectual discussions on politics interspersed with screaming at mario cart AIs. It's amazing how little pony sometimes gets discussed when bronies hang out and how much world changing topics come up.

Anyways, thanks for reading my rambling, I'm gonna go try to get back into the swing of things. If I missed mentioning you and you're annoyed, let me know and I'll try to make amends, in the meantime, I'd love to hear folkses favourite moments and memories from this year.

For my next post I'll try and make it more intelligent and discussing how strange it feels to know someone online so well that meeting in person feels like a natural thing.

It was great hanging out with you and everyone else at Quills&Sofas-con. Hope to see ya again next year :pinkiehappy:

I'm glad you did like the Scootaloo story. Not everything I write is spaceships and slapstick :twilightblush:

btw, when the hell did Mariokart get so complicated?

3314526 the argument is it always was apparently.:rainbowderp:

It was great chatting with you again this year! I also really appreciate your critique. Seriously.

Aw, you're making me want to go to Bronycon, Ferret! Everyone sounds awesome!

>mfw people keep using the misspelling of my name instead of my name
I guess that's what happens when it's your Skype name for nearly three years
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How could you forget the hug we shared? :fluttercry:

3314726 It's the best way to spell your name, I misspelled it first before I corrected it. also, you're insanely cute when you blush.

3314774 It was so incredible, I felt to speak of it would be blasphemous.

*pokes a Ferret and pouts* I was that forgettable?

... seriously though, it was great to finally meet you and hug! Hope I wasn't too obnoxious during the EqD panel..

'Twas good meeting you, and all! We had a few brief chitchats although seeing as my badge said something else I don't think fimfic ever really came up much! You were suuuper friendly which was awesome!

I can't believe you didn't say anything about meeting me! :raritydespair:

Granted, I wasn't actually there, but that's no excuse.

You mean you were at Bronycon too, Ferret?

Man, I had a blast meeting you again!

Hope you find what happened to the owner of the plush at some point... It's rather well made.

crying? :(

It was great seeing you again, Ferret! But the notion that I am a mature adult, even nominally, is in fact a base canard (and I usually play tenor mallard).

Also: Alpaca

3315253 I know, but at the same time I won't deny I sort of hope nobody claims him so I can keep him....:twilightoops: i'm so conflicted.

Long story short, cons are stressful and people are occasionally butts. ask in pm
3315434 True...also I always prefer this video, although this is the one that introduced me to arpacasso

Aw blast, missed JediMasterEd again!
Anyway, glad to hear it was fun! Here's hoping I can make it next year. :twilightsheepish:

I was there in spirit; by which I mean that I'm envious of everyone who went. Ah, the tyrannies of distance and responsibilities... still, I am glad that you had a (mostly?) good time.

And whether claimed by the owner or kept by you, that alpaca has a good home.

Hi, Ferret. This is Olden Bronie. (Yes I need to change my name....doing that soon) I am soooo cool now! I've been mentioned by a horse famous person in their blog! Yay!
Thank you for being so nice and talking with me. I hope we can get a chance to talk more sometime. And thanks, too for being the other token female on the internet. You are way cool!
