    One Last Update

Hey all. As my last blog said, and as you've probably noticed, I've basically left the site. Comments from me are very rare and I expect blogs (like this one) will be even rarer. But interesting times have gotten even more interesting, so I'm back for one final message.

    Black Lives Matter, my dudes.

    Updates, and Endings

Been a while, eh? A part of me wants to put a joke there, maybe a "kept you waiting, huh?" reference, but I don't think this is the blog for it.

Just a heads up, this isn't going to be a fun blog.

    Galacon Was Fun

Well, strictly speaking, Galacon itself was a massive let-down. Only a single writing-related panel during the entire convention and it was awful. It was also apparently part two, when part one happened last year? Bloody stupid.

But that's ok, because I had the good sense to stay away from that nonsense, and hung out with some cool Horse People instead.

Plum Goes to Horsecon 2015 · 3:30am Aug 14th, 2015

I'm the one on the far left, kneeling at the front. Also, stupid sexy Sunchaser

First of all, yes, that is me in the profile pic. Thanks to Corejo for taking the original.

Just like last time, this year's con was an absolute blast. Everything, from my awesome roommates, to fun-as-fuck panels (I was even on some of them), to teaching Pen Stroke why it's a bad idea to shove a scotsman

First, a huge thanks to all those who I met/hung out with in Baltimore (especially D, BP, Core, Raz, and Flash, who I stayed with). I was on a couple panels, the recordings of which I'll blog when they get uploaded by Bronycon staff, and I'll post some pics at the end of the blog. But first, names!

ABagOfVicadin - Wow, rude but for reals it was cool to meet you irl
Admiral Biscuit - Sorry Bad Horse killed you and stole your shirt, but it was nice to meet you while you still lived!
Alexstrazsa - It was weird to see you outside of your vendor booth, man, and the Do's panel was serious fun.
Applejinx - You're awesome as always, dude. Damn good job with Quills this year
Aquaman - You snorting a line of salt, then squeezing a lime in your eye, then getting punched in the face by a drill sergeant, and then taking a shot, all followed by doing that reading with said drill sergeants was one of the highlights of the con. I don't know what that says about me, but it's probably hilarious
Arad - Nice to meet you irl, man. Sorry we didn't chat overmuch, I was a bit rushed whenever I bumped into you. Still, here's to XCOM 2, aye?
Archonix - Dapper as always. Awesome to hang around with you again, dude. We should do it more often
Bad Horse - Now we can both know the sorrow of having our crab cakes stolen. Even if it was you who stole mine.
Bookplayer - Trixie is absolutely goddamn adorable! So glad you could bring her this year. Oh, also, you were cool too :scootangel:
BrastaAura17- You're a pocket-sized priest, and a damn cool one at that. But seriously, Tumbridge Wells? :rainbowwild:
Burraku_Pansa - Great to see you again, man. Always an interesting person to talk to. Even if y'all were trying to get me to eat deep dish pizza when I arrived. Blech
Captain Unstoppable - You're the first person I've met who pours coke into a bottle of vodka to make a single drink. Still, fun to hang around with you, man
Cap'n Chryssalid - Dude, you were on ever damn panel, it seems like. How did you find the energy? :rainbowlaugh:
Also, thanks for letting D and I crash your place on the last night. Hope to see you again next year
Cloudhammer - Thanks for letting me steal so much gatorade. Also, thanks for keeping everyone under control on the last night. It's always great to see you. Warships soon, aye?
Cold In Gardez - Surprisingly chill for a man who could probably kill me with a nod. Awesome to finally put a face to the name, man
Corejo - Kore-joe. Or maybe co-ray-hoe. Fuck it, I give up. You're still cool. Sorry for talking over you so much D:
CSquared08 - It was fun, dude. Almost made up for the round that you haven't posted, yet. Hint hint :scootangel:
Cyborg Samurai - Nice to see you at full health, man. You're cool beans
El Dorado - You're a damn cool dude, even if you did use your time as a story approver to cheat at Hoof of Argon :raritywink:
Flashgen - Sorry again for the whole "thinking my flight was two hours earlier than it was" thing. But I'm still definitely down for pre-reading some stuff, especially Power Ponies. Hit me up anytime, aye?
FoughtDragon01 - Been too long since we chatted, man. Great to see you, but next time, do try and get on the right train, yeah? :twilightsheepish:
GAPJaxie - I look forward to Pav writing that JaxXAqua fic, and ruining your innocent soul as a result. Also, you're cool, I guess
Golden Vision - Dank
Jake The Army Guy - You're fucking crazy, dude, but I love you. You think you could ever write down that speech you gave in Tir Na Nog? The one about being an antisocial nerd as a kid. I know a couple people I think it could help. Also, best of luck to you and your special someone, dude. You deserve it
JMac - I can't say I knew much about you before the con, but now I absolutely have to check out your stuff. It was a pleasure to chat with you
Leapingriver - Absolutely goddamn adorable, running around asking people to take photos of you and other authors, to add to your horsefamous collection :rainbowlaugh:
MaskedFerret - You have no idea how ridiculously adorable you are. The fact that you meow where others might say "huh?" just sums it up perfectly. So damn nice to meet you face-to-face.
MidnightDancer - Awesome as always, and awesome news about the new Philly house stuff. Let me know if you're ever down to hangout, aye?
Pav Feira - Pav's hair is dead. Long live Pav's hair! Also, please try to fix Red, he's been shipping more than usual, lately
Pearple Prose - RIP
Pen Stroke - Sucks that you got food poisoning, dude, but it was awesome to have you there regardless. Glad you could help that girl after all
Prince Rutherford - Two years it too long, man. Trixie was adorable, Crackle was great, and you're a fantastic guy to know
Razgrizs57 - Dat hair tho. You and your jewfro are definitely cool, though. Well. Maybe not the 'fro, but still :raritywink:
RedSquirrel456 - So glad you came, man. It was great to meet you in person, and it's awesome you had a good time. Hope the plane stuff at the end didn't ruin it too badly for you.
ROBCakeran53 - You have got to be the jolliest man I've ever met. I don't think I saw you stop beaming for even a second. Great to see you, dude
Skeeter the Lurker - Always a pleasure to hangout with you, man. Shame you removed your rather excellent beard :scootangel:
Sunchaser - You introduced me to Mario Kart minmaxing. I don't know what to do with this information. Also, you're a cool guy, I guess
Wanderer D - Always awesome to meet up with you, dude. And best of luck with the whole "con organisation" thing, aye?

I so many other cool people (Syeekoh, JediMasterEd, yamgoth, etc), but there were just so many of you! I had to cut my list down to people I'd hung around with a bunch, so's to avoid driving myself mad trying to remember all y'all. So let's have some photos

Arch and myself looking dapper

Pen Stroke, hard at work on the next Past Sins sequel

Myself, having stolen Bad Horse's hat

What happens when Bookplayer can't control her husband

Aquaman's Rugby shot, filmed by Capt. Unstoppable

Aqua and Jake's reading, which followed the shot

But yes, Bronycon was a blast, and I can't wait until next year.

Oh man, and if you want a laugh, please ask about the time Jake taught a little girl a brand new word, via patches on his jacket.

That is a very nice hat.

Isn't it, though?

Seeing as Bad Horse stole Biscuit's shirt, I daresay me taking his hat is fair and for the crab cakes too

It's settled.

Next year we're all pitching in to get you a goddamn top hat.

~Skeeter The Lurker

Even if y'all were trying to get me to eat deep dish pizza when I arrived.

No, friend. If I was pushing anything it was the delicious mint iced tea. If you're going to get all British on me, do it about the right thing.

You're guilty by association.

MFW the pic of Plum and Arch looking on point.

...but I am fixing him.

I can confirm that this is an amazing story, especially if you know Jake. :rainbowlaugh:

And me looking like a total dolt in the background. :derpyderp1:

3318465 I swear, one of these days when I'm able, I'm going to that con to see what shit y'all get up to.

I definitely will hit you up, man. I appreciate you letting me bounce my ideas off of you. Also, about the flight, it really doesn't matter to me. I finished my book before I got on the plane that way.
