So it's my birthday tomorrow and I am currently panicking but hey, my friends are acknowledging it this year, so at least it's better this year. It's also Labor Day on Monday, but I'll be saying my thank you today.

When I work at Target, my main responsibilities are helping unload the truck and taking care of all the cardboard we go through each truck day. Since getting my smartphone, I've taken to listening to music while I bale. Did you know that I have a history of being depressed on my birthday?

I doubt I’m alone in this. For me, a lot of it has to do with my age, my financial status and other aspects of my life. I tend to get a little depressed around Sunny and Primary (my two daughters)’s birthdays, too. I feel like I’m losing time, that I should have done more in the last year, that I should be present for more things.

I'll be a year older in less than four hours when the clock strikes twelve. As shitty as this year has been, it seems to have gone by quick. In hindsight, that is.
