Been a while since you've heard from me and I should probably make some writing related updates soon (working away on some stuff in the background right now so that you can get a looooong while of regular releases), but this is a worthwhile cause.
Did you know that I have a history of being depressed on my birthday?
I doubt I’m alone in this. For me, a lot of it has to do with my age, my financial status and other aspects of my life. I tend to get a little depressed around Sunny and Primary (my two daughters)’s birthdays, too. I feel like I’m losing time, that I should have done more in the last year, that I should be present for more things.
It changed the future… and it changed us. It taught us that we have to create the future, or others would do it for us. It showed us that we have to care for one another, because if we don't, who will? And that true strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely places. Mostly though, I think it gave us hope, that there can always be new beginnings… even for people like us.
Phew. What a month. I can’t believe August is already over. Totally insane, right?
Seriously. I need to find a freaking time stop spell just so I can get some stuff done. Always so much to do… and then there’s always something that pulls my attention away from what I should be doing!
