First off, I truly want to apologize to my Ponioh reader for the lack of updates. I've been trying to hash out the duel between derpy and phantom and it's taken me a lot longer than I would like
. But now I believe I got a satisfying conclusion for it so I can now start writing again.

My job is interfering, as well as worries over a couple troubled friends. The chapter is currently sitting at 11,326 words with at least 2-3k words more to go, meaning I was only able to put around 1800 words on it over the past week.
On the advice of prereader AJ_Aficionado, the-now 37,000 words I’ve written for the end of the Changeling arc is going into Eros instead of the main story. I realized he was right when he said that it was simply too big a scene for C&C and interrupted the flow too much. A single 4-5k word M-rated scene in the flow of the main story is fine, but I can’t afford to spend three whole chapters on it. I was already thinking about that, but he gave me the nudge I needed.
I finished chapter 7. I am hoping to post it in the next few days.
It is a long chapter. The longest I have written yet. I am also hoping that it will give some much-needed characterization that I feel like my story needs.
I am so excited to bring everyone another chapter.
Who else is excited.
Reservations are made for Las Vegas next week (I only wish it was Las Pegasus!). I'll be staying at Harrah's on the strip for six nights, leaving crack of dawn Sunday and returning Saturday to get my fill of poker, good food, and other vices. A couple people have requested updates on my play while I'm there, so I'll be posting regular blog updates while I'm there. Win or lose, I'll share.

Before the Storm: The Rise of Firefly notched its 50th like last night and is still pitching a shutout. Had a couple good spurts of new readership of late, and it seems to finally be gaining some traction. I thought about marking the occasion with something fifty-related, but what is there with fifty in it other than Fifty Shades of Grey? XP
Well, by coincidence, this is my 50th blog, so I guess that's covered.

Anyway, I would like to offer some very public thanks to the reviewer, as I greatly appreciate the thought and care that went into this... to say nothing of the new likes and faves I picked up on both the story and the sequel as a result!

I'm working on a fan fiction of a flat earth, enclosed system Equestria called Horizon Rising. It originally had the working title of Pancakes but I realized that was kind of boring. As soon as I hear back from my pre-readers and do a little more editing, I should be able to post the first chapter. I've got a good idea of where I want the story to go but that may change a bit as time goes on. I'm enjoying the journey. In the mean time here's some entertainment for my current and future
