Hello all, and welcome back to the spookiest of holidays! I hope you're enjoying yourselves, whatever your plans and traditions may be.
So, quick update before I forget, I've finally posted some content! One is the next entry into "Beautiful Stories", this time featuring Rainbow Dash and her angelic companion Adna, whom go off into the late night to investigate two odd disturbances.
Happy Halloween! We’re skipping ahead a bit on Rainbow Dash Presents given the holiday. Somewhere Only We Know is a disquieting story at times, but not really scary. Besides, what’s Nightmare Night without Luna?
Warner Brothers is being sued over The Conjuring, a series of movies loosely based on the "true story" of Ed and Lorraine Warren and the haunting of a certain house, in what is possibly one of the most amusing lawsuits I've heard about this week.
Halloween (or should I say, Nightmare Night) has come and gone, but it left us with a trio of stories which lingered in the featured story box – Suited for Terror, Boo! Haunted House!, and Morsel of Truth. In the spirit of the holidays, I thought I’d read all three, and polish off two more recent stories that caught my eye.
Today’s stories:
Suited for Terror by Estee
Boo! Haunted House! by shortskirtsandexplosions
Morsel of Truth by Pen Stroke
I was starting to brainstorm my own G5 haunted house tale, and now you've gone and stolen my thunder!
...Oh well, I hadn't gotten super far with it and honestly their version is better than what little I had come up with anyway.
Back to the drawing board, then.
With the last of the 3D content covered, we reach the second layer of my backlog, all the Tell Your Tale shorts and comics that have come out in the interim. Like the tortoise ahead of Achilles, some of what I’ll cover hasn’t even come out yet. Let’s start catching up.
It amazes me that I managed to end up over 30 review sets ahead on Read It Now reviews relative to Read It Later reviews. I suppose it is often easier to read a spate of recent stories than to attack the long stories that seem to heavily populate my high priority shelves, definitely not because I procrastinate on reading them…
But, well, this time I decided I’d read a couple of ~10k word recent stories, in addition to some shorter ones. We’ll see how it goes!
*sighs*
Guys... I am so sorry. But I'm afraid Detective Rarity and the Haunted Carousel is going to be cancelled. I know you all were probably expecting more but... I'm sorry, I just can't do it.
The story is just a blatant retelling of the original game and I know I'm better than that.
Greetings, my dark souls.
Do you know which month it is now? "It's October!" you will say, but there is more to it than that..... It's the season of darkness. The month of nightmares. The time were the nights are long and the days short and where unspeakable horrors lurk in the darkness and can hide behind every corner..... In short, it is the month leading up to Nightmare Night!
What's the difference between intuition and deduction?
Not much, I'm afraid. In the ,,My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" episode 'Feeling Pinkie Keen,' we learn that Pinkie Pie has some form of extra sensory perception that allows her to predict the future. This act of precognition could be labeled intuition on Pinkie Pie's behalf. But, is it really?
