Vacuous Commenters Get No Sympathy from Me · 11:15pm Jan 23rd, 2016
I trust you all are reasonable, sane, intelligent individuals here, so this probably isn't meant for your receipt, but I feel I must vent this.

I must say, I'm a bit surprised at the lackluster response to my latest story. I actually considered it to be one of my best works: it having a complex format, clever writing, a unique premise, and being intriguing. I worked on it for about for weeks, and was feeling quite successful each time I completed part of it. After all that work only to find it not getting the flood of views and comments I was expecting is a bit off-putting. There are times where I wonder if I'm as good as a writer as I
As some of you may be aware based on my previous blog, my newest story isn't getting as many views and comments as I would've liked. To those who have read the story and liked it, I thank you (though it would be nice if you left a comment as well). If you would be so kind, would you mind helping me devise a means to get more people to view it? I've already tried a thread over at the Shameless Self Promotion group, but nobody has responded. Does anyone have any ideas? I feel that my latest story
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
Positive comments always win!
I have been waiting for a story like this . This will either be really or really . I have aspergers, so i have high hopes for this story, good luck!

hey guys, just wanna put it out for all the readers that I do in fact read every comment that's posted, it fuels and drives me to make more of the content you love, as long as the feedback is not malicious, constructive criticism is just as welcome to me as praise.
and while no, I haven't run out of ideas, suggestions also do the same.
If someone tells you what they don't like about your story, that doesn't tell you whether your story is any good or not.
But does that make their feedback useless? That depends...
Now that I no longer have any "crazyfics" that I'm actively working on, I have just come up with an idea:
What if Twilight is sent back in time, and meets Gen-1 ponies?
Based on what I've seen before of gen 1 on Youtube, I'm guessing that it'll be quite a comedic multi-chapter story.
Give me some thoughts and opinions in the comments, as well.
(Copied from the story's Discord server)
I honestly don't really feel like I like this story anymore. I made the mistake of writing it as an endless, comment-driven story, when in reality it was more or less a writing experiment to test out a new style that I realized later on that I didn't like.I might try to push out one last chapter or so just to wrap things up.
Sometimes I don't understand some people, what drives them to put a dislike right away? Do they read stories well? At least they wrote a comment to find out what they didn't like, or maybe I have to wait longer to get comments or likes? But one thing that makes me angry the only two comments I've had are just two stupid links to advertising sites. However, I have to start reading some of your stories, I have collected quite a few and I have to start reading them.
I've finally rewritten and reformatted my highly controversial story Back to Normal.
Let the flame wars recommence.
Anyone who uses those two things below is quite simply a crybaby, who can't take any form of criticism.
Disable comments.
And disable like to dislike ratio.
Copy pasting a comment here, just so it doesn't get lost. It applies to everyone of the 203 people who've read my story so far. But...
So, apparently, this happened.

Considering how this year has gone, I'll take any good news I can find.
Thanks again to Super Trampoline for making me aware of this.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hearth's Warming, Blessed Yule, Happy Holidays, etc.
So, in case you were wondering what happens when your headaches jumble words up so you can't read or understand how to word things good, this is it:
Don't get migraines, kids. You'll think you're fine, but then you'll write something like 'lacualiently'.
So I was gone for like a half an hour or so running errands and I came back and there's 25 notifications or so full of chiz saying people are watching me or commented on my stuff. I replied back to the comments but there's so many people watching my today I gave up like not even half way through so I decided to make a post instead XD Thank you everypony for watching me <3 and for your lovely comments ^w^ it makes me happy that even though I'm new to voice acting I'm getting all this support in
I have wanting to do a Q & A for a while now, and I think with 400+ followers I can get some interesting and varied questions.
Comment down below your Questions, and after a few days I will make another journal answering them.
Rules:
If you see a question you want answered don't post it again, just like the comment so I can know how badly people want to know these things.
Nothing overly personal, like contact information, or family life.
Other then that go ahead and ask!
The Like-Dislike/ Up-downvote system is a very good way to rate a story in my opinion. What I don't like about it, is that it doesn't give you any indication of what was the reason for a rating, for example if it's a well liked fic what is it that's good about it and if it's downvoted, then what's the reason for that.
So this is gonna be a Brad only blog, but I have to say this so I can express something that I think every writer feels towards their audience:
Comments.
Are.
Golden.
And I mean this in the best way, so let's go down the list people on how Comments are the best thing ever to a writer:
1. It tells you that people ARE reading your stuff. Whether or not a comment is positive or negative, the commments verify that people, whether they like or not, are reading your fics.
Hey lads and lasses,
Well it's 3 in the morning on a Sunday night (or rather Monday morning), my girlfriend has to study for her approaching last year at University and I find myself sitting at my computer after a late night drinking session with the lads, a combination of beer and vodka sloshing in my stomach and chewing on the business end of a cigarette.
And yes, I can already hear my own stomach arumblin' promising me some consequences come tomorrow.
