Hello dear readers, people who wandered here by mistake, and possibly my mother if she remembers her password,
Chapter 7 of Children of the Sun is posted, you can find it here.
So, tomorrow, after seven years and some change, I am finally moving out of my parent's home and out of my adoptive home state of Louisiana.
It was my birthday this past Wednesday -- woo I'm 23 give me stuff woo -- but I had no ways to come in here and post anything.
There was a guy supposed to come to my house and install a router on Monday, true. But, the dude came in, looked around, said "Hahah wow I have no idea how to deal with this," and immediately left.
So no Internet till today, and no birthday blog. Instead, have a birthday story.
I was planning on making a summer retrospective blog when I had the time, and maybe put out a few reviews on some of the many horse books I’ve accumulated throughout the pandemic. I’m almost as behind on those as I am with revising my to-be-printed works and writing my ongoing stories.
Our previous nonsense is dead and buried. Enjoy.
This time, we've got a double shot of script-format works. One tangentially relates to Cuphead, as our tangential nod to the Smash Direct that announced the eighth Fire Emblem character.* Enjoy that too.
I'm very busy lately. But here is a quick and short update so you won't be in the dark about my current writing progress anymore.
I'm sure most of you saw the notification already, but I wrote a new fic for a contest entry, and I'm very proud of it! I'd love it if you gave it a read, especially considering that it's not your standard sci-fi/romance story. How many are told from the diary of a sprinkler system?
... and sorry about the cover image. I usually like to make them myself, but I was exhausted yesterday.
Yo, what's up, Kemosabes?
This is your top-of-the-line film, TV show, and episode reporter here.
And, by golly! I've reached my 100th film review! Can you guys believe it?!
I couldn't have picked a better film to represent that number too, because today, I'm gonna give you guys my analysis of "The Lion King". The animated version from 1994 to be precise.
The graphics rotating around the image are Gallifreyan from Doctor Who. There's an awesome 'site that has a Gallifreyan language translator. You type in what you want it to say and it spits it out in this beautiful, circular language. I threw it into Photoshop behind the image and animated the rotation.
I'd rather drink the hooch with my friend. If she comes, she'll have to drive home and there's no way I'm letting her have a drop of alcohol. She just took a nap so she may or may not come. I'm fine with that, though. Nothing's as bad as that time I threw a birthday party and nobody came. Yes, it actually happened. It also happened another time, but it wasn't a birthday party. I'm kind of used to this shit now so it's ok.
This one's for you peaches
And once more, we have arrived on Hearth's Warming Eve. It's time to celebrate Equestria's discovery, foundation and the peace, unity and friendship between the three pony tribes of Equestria again. And their friendship is especially important this year, after everypony just got reminded on the consequences that hatred and disharmony have:
.
so i was SUPER DUPER pumped for halloween tomorrow
i was going trick or treating w/ two of my friends, one whom i hang out with ALL THE TIME, the other whom i havent seen in awhile, owing to the fact that i only ever saw her at vball but the season's over and she's homeschooled.
and the latter friend, the homeschool girl, was going to be castiel and i was going to be dean (from supernatural)
but
she won tickets for 5sos concert tomorrow night
so naturally she's going to that instead
Several videos to update today. Several of them were acquired earlier.
It's late. I know. It's 1:30 in the fucking morning AND we're off schedule. Hush.
So here's last week's. Wheeeeeee.
This week's is another crossover shuffle. That tells you all you need to know right there. Have fun.
Fucking shit, I’m getting feeling self-conscious now that I’m writing the blog. I feel like I gotta meet some expectations or something – which is mighty weird, let me tell you. Usually I write blogs like I break wind in a classroom: whatever happens, happens, and if people look at you weird you just do the fingergun thing and crack a joke. Fuck it, I smell anyway, so who’s gonna care.
I'm gonna be headed to a retreat later, and I won't be allowed to bring my phone
I won't be back until some time Sunday.
So if you're waiting for me to respond to a pm or comment, know it might be a while.
I'm mostly saying this because one time I left for a week and everyone thought I'd killed myself, so I wanna avoid that this time and every time I go somewhere I can't use my phone/laptop for longer than a few hours.
*finger guns*
Our Project AFTER post-mortem is complete. Congrats on roping me into it personally.
This week is the next installment of a story from one of AFTER's most bitter rivals. "My Little Cardboard: WHAT Characters?" continues.
*I sit in front of a big, fancy chair in the middle of a big fancy old room while in front of a fire place while wearing red robes and smoking a pipe*
A couple weeks ago, Prak invited me to join The Royal Guard, a group whose purpose is to highlight good stories on the site, but which has not made a site post in quite some time. They were being reorganized, and Prak was looking for people with reviewing experience to drag onto the team.
Naturally, I got drafted.
