Hello everyone! This is just a blog post to let you know that I am, in fact, still around. Also, more importantly, I am writing another story. It's just been slow-going. The simple explanation for my recent silence is just that I've been getting used to my new job. Part of that is just adjusting to a new routine, and the other part is the crushing existential angst of switching careers and wondering if I made the right decision and just need to grow into it, or if I'm just settling for

One other interesting aspect of the Royal Guard queue is that it encourages me to read stories I’d been putting off reading; if a story I’ve been putting off reading ends up on the list, I’ll frequently end up checking it out to see what I’ve been missing. Here’s a list of true events I’ve lived through in the last few weeks—assembled in somewhat chronological order. Keep in mind I wrote this intending it as a comedy, but since it’s an actual abridged chronicle of my life, it reads like a horror story.

I have written something new, spontaneously and unexpected. When I was rewatching Markiplier's infamous Let's Play of "My Little Foundation: Containment is Magic", I got inspired and had a little vision. It's less than 1,000 words and I'm not sure if it will become a full story, because I feel that the beauty of it lies in detailing that one moment and that explaining what exactly happened or telling what happens afterwards would ruin the feeling, but I wanted to share it here:
