So, I've been working on a Just a Little Batty one shot side story for Scribblefest that focuses on Morning Glory and Tempered Mettle. It takes place before Night was born, and is T, so expect the tone to be a bit different.

After the holidays and a hiatus from writing before that, as it says in the title, a new chapter of Thestrals up. I'm doing a final editing pass on the last chapter, so expect that to be posted later today. I'll make another post when it's up and published.

Hey my Legion, just wanted to let you know I released the next chapter of 'Thestrals at Midnight', introducing the main plot element of this story this time.
I should be releasing the following chapter within the day (11/17/2018), so keep an eye out for that! It's fully written in the final draft, but I'm just putting the final touches and doing a final proofreading to make sure it's fit for consumption.

OK, so I was watching a video on fan theories and thought I'd share one of my comments here. One theory is that Harry's Invisibility Cloak was a piece of the Veil... which really makes no sense to my way of thinking. They were also speculating on the connection between the three hallows.
So on the off chance no one noticed I've taken the opportunity to write a new story out.
So the cover art for the coming anthology of side stories to Batty's sequel is done and it's too cute not to share right now, proper timing and marketing be damned.
We've got Morning, Night, Tempered, the Twins--Rolling Thunder and Red Dawn--Aunt Mercy, Diamond Tiara, and, of course, little Pushing Daisies. The artist was also nice enough to give updated Cutie Mark References so yay!

Alright y'all, here's the menu for my donut shop. We're located in lower Canterlot, on the shady side aka the shadows in a converted carriage house in an alley between Stars Path and Clover Circle. Its an old neighborhood where the houses have been converted to restaurants, stores and offices with a rather diverse population, and we're open from dek at night to seven in the morning.
So, the original fiction is finished an in the process of being preread and editted (P.S. I may be interested in more prereaders). That was done around New Years as planned. What I'm focussing on now while waiting for that to happen is the side anthology to She Drives Me Batty I mentioned wanting to do last time. It's gonna be for one shots done outside Night's PoV that happen parallel or within She Drives Me Batty. I have
Aka bat ponies aka thestrals. This is a collection of my head canon and bits and pieces I've collected from the fandom and in no particular order.
Bat ponies are an off shoot pegasi, either the product of a recessive gene, or some type of stray magic.
They have leathery bat like wings instead of the feathery wings pegasus are known for.
They have slitted pupil eyes giving them outstanding night vision, a useful trait as they are nocturnal unlike other ponies

Basically, a continuation from the previous illustration, "Bath Time." And to give Sparks a little payback in return.
So through book 1, we've seen the thestrals in action and their sacrifice to stay autonomous but little is seen of their fight against the Agents of Shadow. Now from what I've read and seen of other books like Warhamer 40k to name one, you cannot really add too many characters to a story in a way that will not confuse readers or adds too much of a tangent to give purpose. So, as with Land of the Rising Sun story which has Twilight Sparkle going to foreign lands that will have a show up in book
It's a bit of a special-interest work, but for those of you who are into it, he's written this story to help christen the brand new earplay folders of the My Little Fetish group. And trust me, it's a doozie.

Ok, Brony-Wan-Kenobi's Hunter's Catch (NSFW, avoid ifn you hate sex with your ponies [two great tastes that taste great together]) inspired me to write down my head canon instead of leaving it rattling around in my head with only the chance of me using it in the story being its hope for escape.
Yep, here we go again, me and my world building, be afraid, be very afraid.
I know I didn't tell anyone I was writing a new story but I really wanted something to show for it first. I don't have an ETA on how the editing process will go down but historically these things take anywhere from 3-7 days depending on the availability of my editor and prereaders. Suffice it to say I'll post it once it's ready and I'm not looking to rush things.
Titled When Friendships Falter, AJA and I have completed collaboration on it. It’s now in the hands of our other two prereaders, Silentwoodfire and Silverblade5.
What this means is it will launch as scheduled on September 1st, and it currently musters a healthy 10.3k words. It’s time to hear from the Highborne again, and learn what happens when an equally infuriated Fell Flight and Firefly come to blows over Gavian and Thunderbolt. Here, have a teaser:

As anybody who has read my stories knows, thestrals figure just slightly prominently. Five Stars had a thestral herdmate who later became a famous singer, Fell Flight has thestral eyes and ancestry in Firefly, and over in Nightmare Night...
