I'm going to gloss over the reasons this episode sticks in my craw, not because I feel they're invalid per se, but because unless mine is the first blog or reaction post you've read since Saturday I guarantee I'll have nothing new to say on that front. "Princess Spike" was visually satisfying but narratively lacking, and unlike most episodes based around the "I got so caught up with (x) I failed to pay attention to (y)" premise, catastrophe (y) was so tenuously linked to protagonist action (x)
Hard to believe Season 5 is already halfway over with. Well, it's time for me to give a summary of my thoughts over the first half of the season as well as give a score to each episode. As always, these are my opinions and you are all entitled to yours. With that said, let's get started!

In regards to Linguistic Walls, since there seems to be a high demand for both a sequel and a higher quality product I'm going to give the audience what they want in one neat little package. Here's a little looksey.

Fanfic can be very different from and very similar to published fiction. One major similarity is the importance of titles and descriptions. There is a lot of equivalency between a back-of-the-book blurb and a fanfiction’s summary.
Your title and description are what hook your readers. They are (in most circumstances) what convinces your audience to devote time to your story. They require brevity and a dash of wit, while still being informative.

I personally really liked this fic, and thought it was rather adorable how Diamond saw potential in a pet that wasn't well liked by others. It was also a good lesson for Diamond too, with the potential death of her pet and the drama between her and Spoiled Rich - which was really interesting and deep.

That being said, I finally found 10 spare hours to write A Thief's Tale: The Summary slash Synopsis. There was just so much I had planned for the story that it was a bitch to get it all out. I realize that this shit was supposed to be a summary, but like, DAAAAMN I didn't expect the motherfucker to hit 10k. That might as well have been a damn chapter for the story!
So, since I started publishing the Iota Force series, I've been worrying about the prospect of continuity lockout. After all, I'm hoping to make this a very long series (key word: hoping) and all the stories so far have been relatively long, something I don't see changing that much. I mean, they won't ever be Diaries of a Madman or The Chase length, but still long enough that expecting readers to be able to read through the entire series before starting on the latest story
This is going to be a new thing I do from now on when I read, I'll leave summaries here for those interested.
In the same vain as the Silver Standard, we have the point of which Spoiled Rich and Filthy Rich meet for the first time. Important to realize that Spoiled Rich in this line of fics, is Diamond's stepmom.

It is likely that what I write here will have a very small viewership. An even smaller number of those interested enough to comment. What I read tonight was enough to make me cry, because it's something so unbelievably wholesome yet very deep.

Was feeling rather motivated to read another one in the series so I read through it last night and earlier today. Have to say, the author of these really knows how to write these characters.
And so we reach, the final chapter. The one where everything is supposed to culminate and wrap up. In this case, both the climax, and the denouement.
A lot of pressure for FOUR PAGES, don't you think?
