If any of you have read the Olden World, the first part of that story is similar to this - except this story is all about solo monologuing. It reads like one would read a journal, because that is what it is. A journal. I haven't read anything quite like this before - it's interesting to read a story without any characters other than the main character, I say that because the other characters in this story are mentioned only in a "past" tense, they are not really involved in the "present" tense. One can find this journal at any point in the future, and it would be the same. Hayfever has the same sort of mentality that I have. She's lived in one place a really long time and wants to see the world, but at the same time, doesn't want to leave her home behind forever. I think this story is rather beautiful, in the context of the descriptions of the land. When you are out there alone, you are the only one seeing it, and it's like a moment in time, captured - just for you to experience, a moment that won't come again. It's kinda a similar concept to something I want to do one day, I want to get out there and really see the world when I am young and able to afford that experience.

I wish the author would have described a bit more about Hayfever herself, her personality traits aren't really that well defined here but I suppose that is something that adds to the mystery about it. Reading different types of stories is something that one can really branch out about and lead to a unique reading experience. For a bit of an older story, it has aged quite well. I think it deserves more appreciation. The landscapes and descriptions of the places Hayfever goes, is quite beautiful.

The Equestria in this story seems to be a lot smaller than it should be, I consider this well worth it to read.

I hope you get to see more of the world someday, that sounds really fun. I'm not huge into travel myself but I like going on vacations now and then.

The Olden World does sound like a neat story, I like when authors utilize a unique writing style.
