I'm still writing fics... I'm not sure what to put here. I turned over a new leaf last year and decided to be more of a writer than an artist. People demand so much of creatives but provide so little encouragement, endorsement, or value in return. It's honestly quite depressing.

The fandom has also slowed down significantly since its heyday, but I still get more engagement on pony stuff so here I am. Sparse will just have to wait until I write more pony, apparently, or at least try and fail.

Just thought I'd drop by and address recent things, both personally and abroad.

First off, I just got back from a weekend vacation in Pennsylvania with the family. We had a good time, all things considered. Went to Longwood Gardens, watched Queen Esther at Sight and Sound theater. Not our most extravagant vacation, but I think we needed it. Helps that we haven't actually had a vacation like this in a couple years.

1. I think I might've figured out how to fix Frazzle! I'll most likely be removing or mothballing Chapter 11 (My Fair Pony Part 2) and proceeding with a third act based on Fraz's voice change. The appearance change took me to some creepy places, I have doubts about Zecora actually going along with it, and anyway it's not like Frazzle could even get more attractive than she already is, am I right?

Chapter 17 of Synchrony is finished, coming in at 5,019 words. In the coming days, I'll send it to AlexTFish for editing, but of course will not post it until I've completed the whole next round of chapters.

Next on my writing list is Chapter 12 of Sunset in Ponyville, which I will begin either tomorrow or the day after, depending on what I have the energy for. That is all.

So I'm standing in Andy Price's line, and I plan to be here for as long as it takes. Because he's got the best taste for nostalgia, and because of a sketch he did for somebody else years ago, I want to ask him if he'll do one for me and my dad, who passed on but days hence, in a similar vein.

The very least I can do is stand here and wait. If anybody wanted to know where I am right now, now you know :p

Back in February I started this story with the intention of posting at least twice a month. Almost immediately a love of writing took hold and I pushed myself to write more frequently and I began posting weekly. For the most part that held, with only a couple small hiatuses in between when some real life stuff that I had to take care of came up. All right, guys. Time for a status update.

First of all, it's a good thing I got 20,000 words written last week, because I had more shifts than normal at my other job this week, and that's made this week quite a bit slower. In the end, I guess it balances out at neutral, aiming somewhere slightly north of 10k per week. Which is a lot less than my old, pre-second job standard, but still functional.

I just came back from my third viewing of the My Little Pony movie, this time with a friend. The first two times were with my own fillies, and I thought to myself how ponies have been such a bridge between myself and them. There's a fandom, and in it everypony has an opinion. Episodes are dissected, characters examined, motivations questioned, and yet the little ones...just enjoy it. No frills, no expectations, and no complications.
