075 Status update: What I've Been Doing Lately
Hello everyone! It's been quite some time since I posted a blog here. I'm fine, thank you, I'm still writing things, though just as I mentioned throughout numerous comments, blogs, a few PMs even, since January I have had less time for mashing the keyboard due to a full time job I'm currently enjoying. But I managed to write something, so that's a good thing, right?
So, while it's still not done, I've written enough to confidently share a little teaser with you. It's not the "Announcing" type of blog, because I don't want to give the title or too much details before I'm done, but I'm also at this point of getting super excited that the thing is actually happening. Below the break you'll find one of the two characters that will be featured on the cover of this story.
I believe you have already met.
"Hello, Chestnut, my old friend. I've come to mess with your life again."

Oh, you meant Chestnut's? Well, I'm sure the Internet is aware that she's a kid and thus not the best material for erotic fiction. Artificially aging her up and letting her have that kind of fun wouldn't make sense, either. She's just not at a point in which that would help her grow as a character.

Your sense of smell is almost right, and by that I mean not really right.
This story takes place before the original - but is it a prequel, though? Well, I wouldn't use that word. When I started writing it I was thinking of it as a "sidestory", though I admit the project has expanded and calling it a sidestory now would be about as correct as calling half a cake "a slice" after you've just eaten your first one.

Are we going to get some insight into what your idea of batpony society is like? Is there going to be a modern day story parallel to her history?

Hi, thanks for asking! The story will be taking place in Canterlot and Chestnut will be the only batpony involved, so there won't be much space to talk about their society. But you're right in thinking that it will be a modern day story. Not exactly parallel, though - it hapens roughly two years before the original.
