Nearly 3 years on Fimfiction, 3 stories, many waiting ponies, and not a single blog entry. Unfortunately, I have to start my first blog entry with an apology.

It has now been one and a half years since my last story was published. I realize that I made a lot of promises about stories to come. I got a few PMs of people asking me if I am dead. It would have been a really good excuse, but I have to admit that, no, I am not. I have spent the last 5 years earning my masters degree in bioinformatics. During the last year, I have to admit that the stress of a full time education together with a part time job in research finally took their toll on me. There are only so many nights you can spent over math homework or fix the broken code the last PhD student left you, all the while keeping perfect scores. As of yesterday, it is finally over. I have to send my special thanks to twilight-the-pony for bearing with me and my rants, and also to Kevinltk for helping me iron out the wrong commas on my final thesis.

Now, what is to come? I still have two papers to finish in the next weeks, but otherwise my old work is done. I will move to a new city and university and start my PhD there. I'm not sure what this means for ponies so far. One thing is for sure at least: I will have a scheduled job for once. I can finally leave work at work and won't have to finish it at midnight. Well, maybe with a few exceptions there, but still. I will need a little bit longer to regain myself, but I will try my best. I do plan on writing more pony. I do plan on finishing the trilogy as long as people still care.

In the meantime: all hail the mighty RNA! Have a Scoot: :scootangel:

And in contrast, I have to, and I will counter those thanks. For a ton of support. And candy.

Good luck, man ^^

I wish you the best of luck with you schooling!

I am still very interested in seeing the conclusion of the trilogy!

(I'm going to have to re-read the first two stories!) :rainbowlaugh:

I care about you finishing it and making new stories. I don't know if I'll keep reading, the second story sounds pretty scary :pinkiegasp: Even after all of this time, I still don't enjoy tragedy stories as much as I thought I would. I am a coward :twilightsheepish:

Still, I loved your first story, which I really should re-read at one point. Stories like that inspired me to write and to keep writing until I shoot for the stars, whatever that means.

Your thesis shall haunt me for years.

The ghosts of a hundred forgotten commas.

Dang you are doing good in life👌

2 years and 5 months since this blog was released and still nothing. I hope everything in life is going well for you, but I do hope you still plan on finishing the trilogy. Far too many stories I love died before they met their proper conclusion. I would hate to have to add your trilogy to the list.

It's been 5 years since this was posted, but your stories are still some of my favorite, and the most inspiring works I've ever read. I really hope all is well with you, that you graduated from university armed with everything you wanted to know, and that you're living your best life. If you ever come back and finish your trilogy, I'll be here, so will others.
Wishing you all the best!
