I know I'm still early by a couple of months, but I want to step back for a moment and think about some stuff.
I made this account back in May of 2020 more or less out of boredom. I wanted to try writing something new. Something I hadn't seen much of myself from the things I have read. It didn't help that the pandemic was in full-swing by then, either.

It's a couple days early but the first batch of Departures chapters are complete, giving me a month of content in the backlog. To avoid potentially losing momentum with releasing it so close to both Aftermath and Monsters we Make, I've decided to push the initial release date forward. I'm still a few hours out, but expect the first chapter to go live around 8:00 AM, PST. Chapters will be released on a weekly basis through mid March, and will probably switch to every other week depending on how
At this point we've all been affected in some way by this virus. The W.H.O. (World Health Organization) has recently declared this a pandemic, so it's time to start taking it seriously. In this blog I'm going to give you all the facts you need to know (with sources) so you can know what we're all up against and how to fight it.
So yeah I just learned that my college will be doing all virtual classes after spring break, due to coronavirus. Still not sure whether I will return to campus or stay home. I will be staying at home for the rest of the semester.
Anyone else in a similar situation?

I can only imagine how "social distancing" would work in a friendship-fueled world like Equestria.

First of all, thank you all so much for your support and praise for my latest fic, Panic Buying. I think it felt very real for a lot of us (including myself), and I hope that we realize that although we may be isolated, we are all isolated "together". 
The Equestria Girls spinoff of "Panic buying" is out now! It focuses on the Mane 7's high school graduation being suspended due to a quarantine (which is a real problem for many people in real life). This story is much less comedic than "Panic buying," just as a warning.

We've read Pandemic and how Twilight cured ETS (EQUINE TRANSFORMATION SYNDROME) but before a portion of the population were ponified. And trapped several in midtransformation. We even read at least one story of the post pony pandemic world.
ETS was wiped out!.
Back in February I started this story with the intention of posting at least twice a month. Almost immediately a love of writing took hold and I pushed myself to write more frequently and I began posting weekly. For the most part that held, with only a couple small hiatuses in between when some real life stuff that I had to take care of came up. In a few months I did what I never really saw myself doing, and that's releasing a story with regular updates and finishing it.
Pandemic
A word that we have all been living with for a couple of years now. The word brings to mind masks, mandates, vaccines and a grimly rising tool of the sick and dead. Pandemics are not fun.
Unless said pandemic, instead of killing people, starts turning them into colourful ponies with strange abilities.
Isn't Spring such a pleasant time of year? The flowers are blooming, it's nice and sunny, and if you'll excuse me for saying so... it's better all around... well for the most part, California's weird weather aside. Now what's everyone's favorite part of Spring? If you're like me, it sure isn't Spring Cleaning... but that's a necessity in life isn't it? I know Spring doesn't technically start for a few more days, but in preparation for this week's chapter I've started to go through and revise
As I’m sure you have all heard, there is a new coronavirus that has originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019. SARS-CoV-2, as the virus is called, causes a respiratory disease termed COVID-19 that somewhat resembles influenza (the flu). It may be more or less asymptomatic in healthy and moderately young individuals, but it still poses a significant risk for those afflicted with chronic diseases and the elderly, oftentimes resulting in severe pneumonia.
Just to let you know, there has been some progress on an arc in The Substitute Librarian, in particular a point where Emerald is enjoying his solitude in the middle of the night in the dark library tree. Nothing but him, his homework project, some cold medicine for his sniffles… and a midnight visitor, a mare who he refuses to look at for obvious (to him) reasons. See below the break.
As the title says, I'll be pulling Departures out of hiatus on Friday, chapter updates should resume as normal, though there may be a couple delays in between. After Departures I have a collaborative project that acts as a follow up, though I don't have a release window for this. Stardust's Odyssey should have a chapter posted by the end of the month, but this is more up in the air.
Well summer's finally almost upon us, and with that come some changes.
