So I bought this big sticker/activity book from a Target back in 2012. A month or so later, I noticed one of the Twilight stickers had wings.
Before I get to the story, I first want to announce a decision. I am going to continue with the other two stories included in the book, but I'm going to take a break. Maybe October? Sooner, later. Not entirely sure. So for those who want to know, yes, you will be able to find out the rest without having to look for the book yourself.
Okay. So, let's get to it.
I'm starting to doubt the idea of reviewing the entire book. I may just finish the first story, then give single post summaries of the other two.
Anyway, last time, we were actually given some backstory for are killer angel, learning he was once a human child that had been forced to fight in a war at the age of six.
The chapter opens with a pseudo-intellectual quote that only turns out to be Theresa boasting about her greatness. Then she boasts about all of the good things that he has in her life, probably as a way to justify how great she is. Then she basks in the praises that people heap upon her as she does pretty much nothing to turn North Korea into a democracy, but says that she does and expects us to take her word for it. Show. Don’t tell. Put up or shut up. She does tell us that she plans to make
STORIES!
Well, actually several writers (including RBDash47, WandererD, Vic Fontain, Monochromatic) have a booth (#9) for Twilight's Book Nook at Everfree Northwest.
Are you visiting the con? Why not go say hi? Maybe get a book or two while you're there. We're here because we like stories, so go get some stories.
Are you not? ... I can sympathize. But hey, they've got the booth anyway.
Hi Everyone
Bathroomstahl and I have begun work on editing "The Monster Below" to get it ready for publication. As detailed in a previous blog, this is to clean the manuscript up by fixing any grammar and punctuation errors, tightening and condensing sections by removing redundant information, and generally bringing the quality of the writing up to date with what I've learned since the book was first posted.
A long road to get there, lasting nearly two years but I've finally cracked the Mendoza line. And as the story is also now boasting well over 300 tracks, I have an announcement to make:
I’m going to extend the practice of canon statement combing to chapter books as well. Mostly because I can. I generally ignore them, because they are usually even less in tune with the primary canon than comics – I only have that much glue to hold it together. The Journal is kind of an exception because of how important it is.
But maybe, just maybe, at least some of them can be exploited for more dramatic opportunities…
As Bella and Edward drive home from Port Angeles, they begin discussing Edward’s mind-reading. Bella brings up why he can’t hear her thoughts, and Edward admits he doesn’t know.
”The only guess I have is that maybe your mind doesn’t work the same way the rest of theirs do. Like your thoughts are on the AM frequency and I’m only getting FM.”
Bella and Edward share some weak lovey-dovey flirting in biology class. It seems like the teacher had the class watch a movie just so Bella and Edward wouldn’t be interrupted while gazing into each others’ eyes. When school’s done, they leave to see a bunch of people clustered around Rosalie’s car, proving once again that people trying to hide out shouldn’t be driving flashy cars, you idiots.
“What kind of car is that?” I asked.
“An M3.”
Billy and Jacob are supposedly at Bella’s house to watch a game on TV with Charlie, since their own TV is broken (although Jacob’s partly there because Billy can’t drive; he’s confined to a wheelchair). During the visit, Bella’s constantly afraid that Billy will tell Charlie about Edward, but he doesn’t. Jacob flirts slightly with Bella, and they leave once the game’s over. That was a whole lot of nothing.
Let it be known that I’m not a big fan of vampires. I don’t hate them, they’re just sort of “meh” to me. And since I don’t care about them, I don’t mind changes to the formula all that much as long as they don’t stray too far from the base. If they don’t drink blood, for example, they better depend on something else. Emotions? Yeah, emotion-eating vampires are fine.
That being said, there’s no way to make sparkling vampires not stupid.
When Bella wakes up, she discovers that Edward stayed all night to watch her sleep, which totally isn’t creepy in the slightest. During breakfast, he proposes that she meet his family. What with the different vampire powers, they already know about the two of them already, so it’s just a matter of time. Edward also mentions that Bella should introduce him to Charlie. Because Bella is a terrible, terrible person, she doesn’t want to. Not for any real reason, just ’cause. And:
Alice’s visitors arrive: three other vampires named Laurent, James, and Victoria. They exchange pleasantries with the Cullens, having not had any vampiric company in quite a while. Carlisle invites them to the Cullens’ home, and this happens:
Excerpt from the latest chapter of "The Unforgiven"
“Why are you suddenly interested in “unique dragons in northern Equestria” for?” Spike asked, settling back into his seat.
“Oh just looking into something for a book I’m thinking of writing.” Twilight said casually.
“Really? A book about dragons?” Spike responded excitedly.
“Why not? I figure I should know a thing or two.” She assured him with a wink.

Let's do something crazy.
Let's have a fanfiction bookstore at BronyCon'19.
