Hey there script fillies and colts! I’m putting my feelers out a bit because there has been a thought in my head for a while, and I want to measure the vibes. In case you’ve missed it, Sober and I launched a collaborative work called No Longer Displaced. This story means a lot to us, and when I say a lot, I’m at a table flailing my arms for emphasis—even while knowing none of you can see me do so. The story means enough to us that I am planning to make a print run so that we can physically hold this thing that made such a delightful impact on our lives.

Then I took a look around, and some of my friends indicated that they’d be interested in copies. Most of us are going to be at BronyCon, and the gears started turning. The long story short is that if you are going to be at BronyCon, and if you have interest in picking up a copy of NLD, please let me know.

Right now, I’m not even talking about the money aspect. We’re not taking orders yet or anything, but for reference, it’s looking right now that the print cost is going to be $5.50 a book. Whatever the cost of printing is, that’s it… because delivery will be at BronyCon and because this is obviously a not-for-profit fan thing.

That aside, the real reason why I’m bringing this up now is the editing schedule. As it sits, 18 chapters have had their primary edit passes. 9 chapters have gone through what I call the remaster pass. This is essentially the read-through I do the weekend before a chapter is to be posted. To make a print run for BronyCon, I’d like to have the remaster passes done in June, so Sober and I can write things in the books when I kidnap his ass again. His handwriting is damn awful, but I really love writing crazy messages for folks. :3 And yes, I totally am kidnapping Sober, and it has nothing to do with us working on a sequel or anything << >>.

So there ya go! If those BronyCon goers have some baseline interest in potentially forking over $5.50 for a printed copy, please let me know as it will dictate the density of time I spend editing in the next few months.

Likewise, please drop a message if you’re interested in a copy and won’t be at BronyCon. Sober and I will have to figure out shipping stuff, but letting us know is helpful. :)
