Hi again, everypony!
Hi again, everypony!
Welcome back, writers! Monday is upon us once more, and you know what that means! Being a Better Writer is here!
Almost certainly not appearing in chapter V:
TWILIGHT SPARKLE (writes): "When we got to the library and Moongleam (as she has insisted we call her) saw the collection, she bounced around the room in a circle for a full minute, calling out 'Yes, yes, yes, yes!'. She seems very excitable to me. Is this normal for her species? Is it likely to happen oft-"
(a short moment of embarrassed recollection later)
They Might Be Giants made a song many years ago called Why Does the Sun Shine? which starts out with "The Sun is a mass of incandescent gas". It is a catchy song.
But, you know, that isn't really accurate. The sun isn't made of gas, it's made of plasma.
So they made a new, scientifically accurate version, Why Does the Sun Really Shine?
Hey again. Finished up Chapter 8 of Fallout Equestia: Black Cat. I thought it would be nice to have a One Piece after arc party chapter. It is nice to have a chapter where the characters just have some fun before the big action starts again.
No, not that Doom.
Okay, first of all, this editorial was meant to come before Chapter 7, right after the second interlude. But the absurdly bad timed combination of my nephews coming to visit, a bone-crushing cold and your typical Chilean earthquake delayed its publication, so here it is.
Some of you who follow me may know that I am a published author, though no where near as successful as I want to be. Yes, I have a day job.
All of the mane characters make great role models for little girls (and boys). This was a key part of Lauren Faust's vision: to provide a cast of strong female characters, all very different, but each equally amazing in their own way...
In Spring Breakdown:
Rainbow Dash: I'm talkin' rainbow lasers!
Sunset Shimmer: Is that a thing?
Fascinating question...
Hey pones, just wanted to throw out the call that I've just posted a story I've been really excited about for a long time: Luna is a Harsh Mistress.
Finally announcing the other major secret project I've been working on as of late:
Galloping Stars is a pony-inspired tabletop RPG set in an original sci-fi universe, developed by Changeling Games. If you like Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other science fiction, and if you like ponies, you'll love Galloping Stars! If you like DnD or other RPGs as well as ponies, you'll also love Galloping Stars!
This is a show that is pretty good. Interesting experiments, good host and good stories and science and stuff. My favorite episode is the one where they do the trolly problem IRL and see how people react.
Did you know that Vsauce has also met Jamie from Mythbusters before? It’s true.
I've watched this one previously, but still, it'd been a number of years since that first viewing.
(Rewatched August 14th, 2023.)
Still every bit as good as I remember it being from the first time.
It's hard to really say anything "new" with regard to the original Terminator. What can I say that other critics or other writers haven't?
About that big discovery last week.
This is one which we have been expecting for some time. I first read about the LIGO experiment some twenty years ago when it had just started construction and I was a young student dreaming about doing a summer placement in California—which turned out to be just a dream, but it was fun perusing the lists of student projects on offer at Caltech.
Chapter 6 of Fallout Equestria: Black Cat is done. I hope you like it. I decided to make Break a more unconventional Fallout hero and one of my rules that she would avoid using guns. She would be forced to find other ways to save her skin. Besides, Break hates gun. Particularly since they are usually used to threaten or shoot at her.
I'm half watching Twin Peaks, and half writing What They Expect to Give. Waiting for my son to fall asleep. I want to just focus 100% on writing, but because I'm pretty sure I'm going to be interrupted at any moment, I don't want to get too absorbed into my work. I get VERY crabby when someone snaps me out of my rhythm...
I've been laughing for months at this post, not for the reasons I should. The apple and the pear are no longer mere "friends," my good commenter.
Well, I guess I should've seen this coming. The mods decided to remove my Fimfiction mirror deciding it was against the rules despite it not being published. I'm fine with this. I shouldn't have done this and I'm sorry. You can still find all my riffs on Google Docs. I will still post updates here on Fimfiction. Sorry for any problems this might have caused. It's a shame, but it's unavoidable.
