Well, tomorrow’s going to be interesting. In fact, the entire upcoming month is going to be interesting. Just like October was pretty damn interesting! Interesting, interesting, interesting.
It’s also going to be brutal. So prepare yourself.
NaNoWriMo is coming.
But before that, let’s talk about word counts!
At long last, the final chapter of How Not to Use Your Royal Prerogative is done! For those of you who've been waiting until the story's complete, now's the time!
I'll have a Retrospective up on the story later this week!
But for now, enjoy the finale of the Origin Arc!

That's right, the Procrasti-nation!
(Cue crickets)
Fine. Well, while I'd rather be in the Imagi-nation, I have learned something new. Writing is hecking hard, and I'm stuck on both my currently-running stories. Meanwhile, I've got an upcoming speech on net neutrality and a ten-page paper on the growth of the automobile and I swear I'm going to flip a table.
This blog has spoilers for, uh, most of my stories. Primarily the main storyline. If you don't want those, go find another neat blog to click on.
nothing that affects plot really, but if you've already read chapters 1+2 i changed "two months" into "one month" and a "6" into a "5". just for the sake of continuity later on i may continue to make minor edits without notice, but anything substantial will definitely get its own blog post so don't worry!
also, i've been posting some silly grad-school-sci-twi doodles on twitter. if that's your kinda thing feel free to check em out
For some reason, one thing I absolutely love to death is JRPG tropes. I’m talking stuff like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, stuff concerning party composition, storyline tropes, and all that jazz.
It’s apparently gone so far that I want to write some MLP JRPG thing. It includes all this party composition, enemy tropes, and stuff like that. This may be because I’m playing through Dragon Quest VI and I honestly love it a lot.
DATELINE: the American Midwest. An innocent man struggles to find parking in Local Biggish City, child in tow, wife waiting at home--and all feeling desperate. Back home, the fridge is empty, save for leftovers of dubious vintage; and the pantry is that curious mix of stuffed-to-the-gills yet containing absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, he is ill, and has taken to wearing one of those uncomfortable blue mask thingies for the good of his fellow man.
I’m not good at romance.
A guy once tried to choke me and then begged for sex, and that’s just the third most horrible confession I’ve gone through. A girl in my high school refused to go out with a guy unless he stabbed his own arm with three needles to show his love. One of my teachers had to go to the hospital on New Year’s because she got a champagne bottle stuck to her vagina.
Join Sweetie Belle as she stops Twilight from killing Twilight with Twilight's magic! Does that sound stupid/ridiculous/silly/fun? Good, because it is!
Go ham, my friends. Apparently regular updates means "updates whenever I remember it exists." Which was today! Yay! I'll try to be better about this, I promise. We're in for a ride!
Hello again! It's nearly halfway through Spookstober, and I bet you're all wondering when those chapter updates are coming! Well, two days after my status update blog post, my attention to FIM and my fanfics of it was diverted by the siren call of Steven Universe.
I'll get right to the point: I found out this morning that my grandfather passed away. He was 89 and on the wane, so it was sudden, but not totally unexpected. I'm holding up all right, but I'm making an emergency flight home to be with the family.
Between that, some work stuff I have to take care of, and all the other stuff involved with this sort of thing, there's no way I'll be able to finish this next Iron Horse chapter. It has been worked on, but it's not there yet.
At 10PM Pacific, November 20, 2017, I claimed my ninth National Novel Writing Month victory.

I mean, it's not like I'm lazy, right?
Procrastination, I'm afraid we can't see each other anymore. I know that we have had many good times together, and those are times I will never forget... However, I think we both know that this has been a long time coming. I mean, I would have gotten to it sooner, but let's face it, you've rubbed off on me quite a bit, Pro.
