As the 5th anniversary of Scootaloo's parent's death nears, she slips into depression. But in the wake of her sadness, a certain pink pony is there to comfort her in her time of mourning.

This is my first attempt at writing anything not grimdark or random, so leave reviews, tips, correction, etc. Thanks and have a Happy Holidays.

Hearth's Warming Eve is one of the worst times of the year for Scootaloo. With a father who left years ago and rarely contacts her and a mother who pays her little attention, family togetherness is only a remote possibility. The only thing she has to look forward to is a gift and a smile from Rainbow Dash. When even this seems to have been taken from her, Scootaloo decides she's better off wandering the streets than staying at home feeling sorry for herself.
While meandering in a mostly empty Ponyville, Scootaloo comes across somepony whose even more alone than she is.

Last Hearth's Warming, I gave you my heart
The very next day, you gave it away.
This year,
To save me from tears,
I'll give it to someone special...

It's been almost a year since Blues broke up with his coltfriend, yet everywhere he goes he can't stop seeing him - not even in the new stallion Blues has been asked to train...

The families of the mane six come together to celebrate a Hearth's Warming Holiday, partying together, giving presents, and blessing each other with a Happy Hearth's Warming.

All except Rainbow Dash...

Hearth's Warming. A time of joy and cheer, of generosity and love.
Not so much for the Apple Family, though.
Winter means the end of crop season, and money is hard to come by. The family, however, protects their pride by celebrating small... meaning not at all.
When Twilight and and the rest of the mane six find this out, they spring into action, wanting this Hearth's Warming to be one especially for them. One to remember forever.

This is another experimental-ish piece, working with symbolism, emotional development, complex scenes with lots of characters interacting, and world-building.
Of course, you can ignore all that and just read a story about tiny talking horses with magic powers. That's good, too.

Applejack gets hypothermia from staying outside in record cold temperatures, and while Rainbow Dash is visiting her in the hospital, Dash decides to tell AJ something that she should have done long ago.

With her friends out of town for the holiday it's looking like Scootaloo will have a very lonely Hearth's Warming Eve. As fate would have it her honorary big sister is having a similar problem.

This side-story takes place in-between "The Arrival of Ford Mustang" and "The Epic Quest of Ford Mustang."

Several months have passed since his arrival to Ponyville, and not only is Ford Mustang staying there permanently as a full-fledged Pegasi, but he is also in a steady relationship with Rainbow Dash, who is now a rising star as a member of her dream team, the Wonderbolts. As of lately, Ford is looking forward to spend some quality time with his beautiful, blue angel during her big break this Hearth's Warming Eve.

But with the holiday season fast-approaching, he will have to come up with a great gift for her. The question is will his present meet up to her expectations on their very first Hearth's Warming Eve together? And what kind of surprises does Rainbow have in stored for him? Find out in this holiday special where they discover the joys of giving and receiving!

Scootaloo is celebrating Hearth's Warming with everypony on Sweet Apple Acres, but Scootaloo can't bring herself to join the fun because she's beginning to have doubts about Santa Hooves. When a magic train pulls up in the middle of the night and asks the crusaders to come on a journey to Hearth's Warming town in the Frozen North where Santa Hooves supposedly lives, will Scoot get her answer?
