Moody, atmospheric character vignette that got 2nd place in the Cozy Glow Group's August 2020 Short Story Contest. Golly, am I honored.

When Luna was banished to the moon, she tried not to abandon her little foal. She failed.

Luna's mistake created a foal who can never, ever grow up, a foal who was left all alone, with nopony to care for her.

This is her story.

Having settled down in a small coastal town, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow now live together. They might not be family, but they were certainly more than friends. Having been given a chance at redemption, the three decided to leave their past behind.

But sometimes the past has a bad habit of seeking you out.

One sunny day a purple princess comes seeking them out. She brings mementos of the past, but more importantly, memories Cozy Glow wished she'd never have to relive.

So who is the real She Wolf?

Being trapped in stone doesn't give a little filly much to do. She has a lot of anger and regrets over her situation, but the one thing she misses the most was the love and comfort of her first, and perhaps only, friend.

Following just after the events of "Make New Friends But Keep Discord" Princess Luna tries to join in the fun but ends up heading back to her room to resume her duties of the night.Feeling as though there is no real point in attending. That is until Discord appears and offers her for a dance.

"Let's try this again."
Cozy Glow sighed as she flapped her wings to stay afloat in the air. She frowned at the mess beneath her as two grown adults bicker like foals fighting over a swing set in a park. Again, it was up to her to be rational and patient. If she doesn't make Tirek and Chrysalis get along soon, they would have to face Grogar's wrath and she would like to avoid him as much as she can. She learned all the friendship fundamentals of Friendship in Twilight's school, if she can do it, Cozy Glow can do it better.
