Trixie has been best friends with Starlight Glimmer for months now, and the bond between them has never been stronger. But, after a bull-headed mistake and lack of critical thinking, Trixie manages to leave Starlight Glimmer angry and disappointed. Again.

Over the course of a single day, Trixie takes the steps to make things right between the two of them and, in doing so, instantly discovers some feelings inside of her that she never thought possible. Her best friend was kind, sweet, and yes, very hot. And now she was in love with her.

Trixie & Starlight Glimmer have always spent Hearth's Warming Eve together since they've become friends. But when Starlight becomes ill before their upcoming Hearth's Warming Eve trip, Trixie must face with the truth that she may have to spend the holiday alone. Sadly, for Trixie this wouldn't be anything new. Will Twilight and the rest of the Mane Six be able to give Trixie a "Great and Powerful" Hearth's Warming Eve?

Trixie Lulamoon has never missed a show, but tonight seems different. Starlight Glimmer feels a worry in her gut for her friend.

Written for EFNW's Iron Author competition. I had a little over two hours to write it. Nothing has been updated or changed.

After a pretty animated night, Starlight wakes up and discovers Trixie by her side. It probably was a good night, but it could have been a way better morning.

One day, however, you come to the close, caring friend called Rarity. And your direction may perhaps be changed for the better.

Trixie tries to flirt with Starlight, and doesn't take it well when Starlight reveals that she knew about it all along. Now Starlight has to find a way to make Trixie feel better and admit her own true feelings.
Using a metaphor to do it? Sure, why not?
