Did the ponies really forgive Discord, or had they just said so?

Of course they did, but Discord has his doubts. How could they forgive him like that, after all of the awful things he did to them? To find answers, Discord seeks out one that he'd rather not seek out: Twilight Sparkle.

When a pony has a problem, who would they possibly turn to but the dependable and honest Applejack? The only trouble is that, when it's a problem that can't be muscled into submission, Applejack sometimes finds herself at a loss. Through her desire to be a good friend, she learns a little something about her Element.

Missing Tag: Uplifting/Inspirational... something in that vein.

When a fire engulfs the Everfree forest, Fluttershy goes inside to save her woodland friends. She wakes up in Ponyville Hospital and learned how many lives she saved that day. Now she's stricken with guilt for not saving enough.

Rainbow Dash has always been a pegasus, and flying was her passion. For years she knew the excitement and bliss that flying brought her - loving the emotion behind having more directions to go toward besides left and right... But that only makes it harder to answer a question that she is asked by the flightless orange filly Scootaloo.

Applejack is in trouble. She's going to lose the farm if she doesn't do something soon. She is losing money, yet she doesn't know why. She's beginning to stress out, and losing her ability to function.

To help deal with her stress, Rainbow Dash introduced her friend to something that will help her drown her sorrows... literally.

Alcohol.

But she never meant for her friend to go so far.

Things end up spiraling downwards, and soon, everything falls apart for our farm pony.

This story is a sequel to Dragonshyness

Four years ago, Fluttershy reached out hoping to make a friend, and instead was abused by a stranger. In response, she withdrew into herself, shutting out the rest of the world. Now she has some friends, but she still fears most strangers, because she never understood what happened to her when she was a teenager. She wishes she could be less afraid of other Ponies, but how can she when she knows that she was rejected for her own lack of merit?

Maybe she'll kill herself. That would be terrible.

Or maybe, with a little help from Rarity, something entirely different will happen.

This takes place around the 1st of October, YOH 1500 and is canon to the Shadow Wars, being part of the Flutterarc. It may also be considered an unofficial sequel to Bad Horse's excellent (and horribly logical) Fluttershy's Night Out, which in this timeline may be assumed to have taken place in YOH 1496. Fluttershy was 16 then, and is 20 now.

In connection to the main TV series, this would be taking place between the start and the end of "Fall Weather Friends" (which is one of the reasons why Rarity is the friend in whom Fluttershy chooses to confide, as Rainbow Dash is in training). It would take place before "Call of the Cutie," which in turn takes place before Fluttershy Is Free.

(Yes, I flipped the order of "Fall Weather Friends" and "Winter Wrap-Up" -- if I didn't, I'd have to assume that the first three seasons covered 5, instead of 4 years).

Its direct sequel in the Flutterarc is Fluttershy Is Free.

Scootaloo only wants to spend her birthday with her idol. Rainbow Dash would normally love to accommodate her, but… she doesn't want to talk about it. So nopony'd better ask.

Maybe this is our reason for living. To have a long, hard life, only to die in sorrow. Are we really going to live in happiness? Will we find peace in life? Or will we find death?
