    WTFIWWY-We Can't Take You NOWHERE

    This week's life lessons learned:

-Keep an eye on your crotch goblins or they may very well steal your car. Though this kid kinda, sorta had a good reason.

-Don't make fun of people with Down's Syndrome. Nobody will feel bad when you get your ass kicked.

    WTFIWWY-Let Them Fight

This week the life lessons we learned:
-Don't be in a troupe of monkeys in Thailand and get into a fight with another troupe of monkeys. Apparently the police will arrest you. Which just begs the questions: Is there monkey jail? Are there monkey lawyers? Are there monkey courts and judges?

-Do not impersonate cops, they don't like it and will arrest you.

So I just lost everything · 3:02am May 27th, 2021

I had been staying over at my parents house for a few months taking care of them because they were in bad health. About 2 hours ago the whole place went up. Like whoosh! My father was out of town for a doctor's appointment and it was just me and my mom there. My mother was on the porch at the time it started and I was laying down when it started. I smelled smoke and said to myself "Something's not right". I walked out of the room to see what was happening and walked about 10 or 15 feet to the front room when a wall of smoke hit me. I couldn't see anything, but knew where the door was and made a bee-line for it. Everyone is okay, but I've lost everything. My parents lost everything. Right now I'm running on pure adrenaline and endorphins.

Holy shit... :applejackconfused:

I... I don't know what else to say. I'm sorry this happened to you :twilightoops:.

I've had a mini-freak out this morning. The big one hasn't hit yet, but I'm bracing for it.

Damn. Hang in there, man. If you need to vent, we're here. It's not much but it is what we can offer other than our wishes that things will get turn out alright in the end.

Hi, I'm visiting your blog because I saw your comment on Intricate Disguise's blog. I hope everyone in your family is still okay and you're making it through this trauma all right. If you need help, please reply to this comment or note me. My husband Skywriter has a lot more followers than I do, and has offered to signal-boost if you request it. So please let us know if you need anything. Take care.

I thank you for your kindness. Right now I'm waiting for them to send me my new ATM card. I'm not looking for money or handouts or anything. If y'all wanna signal boost, I will welcome the words of encouragement.

Sending you good vibes. I'm asking Skywriter to go ahead and signal boost. Hang in there. Hopefully all the paperwork-related stuff goes smoothly and quickly.

Hang in there, sykko. Folks here are pulling for you, in spirit.

Ohh, no... I'm so sorry. Good luck to you, indeed.

Are your parents missing any medications or resources that could be funded? Do you need food, blankets, or something else in the meantime?

I hope for the best for you and your family, but if something needs set up, this community is known to be charitable.

I'm so sorry. No one deserves to have that happen to them. :fluttercry: Sending well wishes and if you ever need help signal boosting a gofundme, let us know!

Wish I could give you a hug and tell you it's all gonna work out in the end, but I'm a bit far away. Just remember you haven't lost quite everything, as you have a friend like Skywriter in your corner!

My sincerest condolences. Here’s hoping you and yours recover from this as swiftly as possible.

They've managed to get ahold of their doctors and get their meds. They're staying at a local motel. About 20 years ago I made them invest in a couple fireproof strongboxes to keep important papers in and they were able to recover them both. I've got clothes. They're a little short on clothes, the family and their church are helping them. My sister-in-law out in Idaho has started a collection to help. Right now I'm just waiting for my new ATM card to come. I've got everything I need for the moment.

Fuck. I’m so very glad everyone is safe. Everything else can be replaced. I know you said you’re not looking for monetary contributions, but if there’s anything else you need besides hugs and well wishes, please let me know, I like connecting people with other people and resources. Also who’s your favorite pony, I’ll send you a cute picture of that pony.

5527893
Favorite pony. That's a hard on. Right now I'm trending towards Sunset Shimmer in her Daydream form.

Saw the news on Skywriter's blog. I'm so sorry this happened. Please do hang in there. There'll be a lot of us here, whether we know you at all or not, rooting for you guys.

Is the collection exclusively in-person, or a GoFundMe? It's a relief to hear that you have essentials, but if there is anything else, boosting a blog to collect things on here isn't out of the question to help.

It's in person. She and my brother were having a yard sale and she put out a box with a note taped to it explaining the situation. My brother is taking it harder than me, he grew up in that house.

I'm so sorry and I hope things come together for you soon :(

I got you fam: Hope this makes your shitastic week slightly less shitastic:

Oh jeez, I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s great that nobody was injured, but my sympathies for all that you did lose.

My condolences. Godspeed!

Oh wow. I'm sorry so you're going through this. My condolences for all that you're dealing with. I hope you and everybody else continues to be okay, and that you all get a chance to fully process it, however that looks for each of you. Take care

I'm sorry this happened to you. Hope you and your family recover well.

Sad to hear. Good luck on the recovery, to you and your family.

Did your parents have any pets that needed to escape?

5528084
There are 2 cats that are currently unaccounted for.

Well shit dude, I am glad you and your family is safe, that is a blessing. Hang in there buddy.

Hell man. So sorry to hear that. I hope you can pull through and recover.

As most have said, at least you and your Mum made it out OK. As for the small fuzzy ones, hopefully it is like my friend’s fuzz balls when their place went up, the noise and chaos scared them off but they returned a few days later.
Good to hear your folk’s church community is helping and that you are all OK for now. Best of luck with the paperwork this will bring and that was a really good call on getting the fireproof boxes, this will make things easier than they would have been if all was gone.

Well... Shit. That's incredibly sad.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. From the other posts, it sounds like everyone on your end is doing ok physically, which I am definitely glad for. I do hope everyone is doing okay on the stress front as well. I know losing so much can be harrowing, but we'll offer what support we can.

My folks are the ones who need the help. They're trying to find a new place to live that is affordable and isn't a total sty.
