Lycanthropy...it is viewed by some as a curse, by others as a deal done with dark powers. Many view pony-wolves as mindless, marauding, murderous beasts. This is not the case. Lycanthropy is a magical genetic mutation passed down from parent to foal.

Throughout Equestria there are pony-wolves who guard their secret, and hide when the moon shines full and bright out of fear of superstitious mobs seeking to slay them. However that was centuries ago, and ponies of today are much understanding and accepting...right?

Twilight Sparkle has lycanthropy. Her brother has lycanthropy. Her parents have lycanthropy. She has kept it a secret not only from her friends, but all of Ponyville out of fear of persecution.

Every month, for three days she locks herself in the Golden Oaks basement. For years she has always been cautious. She fears what would happen if her friends or anypony else in Ponyville finds out.

One fateful full moon her secret gets out. What will happen when everypony in Ponyville finds out?

This is a T-rated story. The gore tag involves what happens when a pony transforms into a wolf. The profanity tag shouldn't have to be explained.

The horror and science fiction tags are because werewolf.

Growing up in an orphanage is hard for Sunset Shimmer. Though she looks like a unicorn, she has some striking differences. The foals bully and harass her because of her looks.

One day Sunset has an "incident" that destroys the orphanage. This catches the attention of Princess Celestia who takes her in and adopts her as a daughter.

While living as the princess' adoptive daughter, Sunset encounters another strange pony named Twilight Sparkle who looks strikingly different from herself. The two bond over their unusual natures

On the longest day of the longest year, Nightmare Moon attacks.

The two strange flee the only place they know to an odd town on the edge of the Everfree Forest known as Ponyville where they meet others as strange as them. They must work together to find a way to defeat Nightmare Moon and save Princess Celestia.

Fate and prophesy can be funny things. Sometimes harmony and magic can be a bit unpredictable.

Starswirl's last prophecy was unclear as the greatest spell caster of his day had notoriously bad horn-writing and was equally bad at only writing down half of what he saw in visions.

For generations Princess Celestia has been subtly manipulating the lives of her ponies for generations, using a combination of Starswirl's prophesies and her own foresight to get the outcome she wanted. But she forgot the three most important rules about trying to manipulate future events: 1) The future is like a river. It follows its own currents and makes its own path. 2) The future is always in motion and is next to impossible to predict with any certainty. 3) The very act of viewing the future changes it.

This story is an AU from the main MLP:FiM starting with a deviation from the episode Magical Mystery Cure.

It all started with a single question: What if it was the Mane 6 that became alicorns and not just Twilight?

Twilight, curious on how an all-female species reproduces writes a letter to Autumn Blaze asking about kirin sexual biology. She receives a plus-one invitation to the kirin village for the summer mating season.

She decides to invite Cadance along

This story was inspired in part by a comment I had on this story.

Everything seemed to be going better for Sunset Shimmer since getting blasted by the rainbow of light. She was learning about friendship and how to be a friend. Then Anon-A-Miss struck.

Thinking she had gone back to her old ways, Sunset's new friends walked away from her, leaving her alone.

Now Sunset cannot find neither the strength nor the will to get out of bed.

This is a first foray into attempting to tell a story from a first person perspective from Sunset's point of view.

This story is inspired in part by my own past struggles with depression.

The suicide/self harm tag is for thoughts of self harm, and Sunset's inability to eat or do anything other than lie in bed as she sinks deeper and deeper into depression.

Featured 01-13-2023!

In Manehattan there is a strange ape-like creature that is being held in a lab. Its injuries bear the distinctive marks of illegal sport hunting by exotic game poachers.

What's strange is that there's an entire section in books on natural life about this creature designating its kind maned apes. What's even stranger is that there are accounts throughout Equestria's history about maned apes turning up.

The maned ape, given the moniker Big Red by the scientists holding it, is given over to the crown and transferred to Ponyville for safe keeping. The Mane 6 comb through Equestria's historical texts and oral account to try and find where the maned apes come from.

This is an HiE story that starts in Season 1 shortly after Apple Buck Season.
