Bronycon Bookstore Announcement and Two Signal Boosts · 6:41pm Jul 7th, 2019

Alright, y’all, scoot in close. Especially all y’all who are gonna be attending Bronycon.

Aquaman is running a booth at Bronycon where authors can sell copies of their books<---various links here, in case this is the first you’ve heard of it.

We’ll get back to that in a minute; I’ve got a few other things to announce.*

First, Celefin has written a sequel to Track Switch, which I highly recommend reading. It’s called Track Switch - Double Traction, and if you follow me because of how I write PoE, you’ll like it. I shoulda signal boosted it right away, honestly.

Second, Midnight Dancer is getting married, and if you want to contribute to her honeymoon fund, you can find all the appropriate links and whatnot over on Wanderer D’s blog.

*and what better way to get your attention than a picture and a clickbaity title?

Now, back to the Bronycon Bookstore!

A while back, there was a survey (which has since closed) regarding what books that were tentatively going to be available at the Bookstore that people who were going to attend the con might want to buy. Basically, the idea was that authors could get a feel for how many books they ought to order.

Some people did not get to the survey in time.

Now, I want to assure everyone the following:

For me, at least, I’ll be bringing more books than what the survey suggested I might sell. After all, as an author the idea that somebody might be browsing the bookstore, see one of my books, and want to buy it having never read anything of mine before . . . well, that makes me giddy.

Also, for those who can’t attend Bronycon, or who spend all their money on plushies at the con (which I totally understand), these books will be available for direct ordering from Lulu after the convention. Maybe not right after, ‘cause I might want to make some minor editing changes and also am not entirely sure how to set up book sales on Lulu, but you WILL be able to buy them after the con.

Having said all that, if you’re reading this blog and are at least somewhat interested in buying my toys books at Bronycon, please do leave a comment to that effect below--that way, I can be sure that I’m not grossly underestimating the interest.

The titles which will be available are The Haunting, Sam and Rose, and a collection of Slice of Life stories, to be titled Fanfare for the Common Mare.

Sweet. In the meantime, :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:I'm in the middle of writing the one-shot I told you about.

(checks the list I made when doing the survey) Yep, Haunting is on there.

(Just got my boxes from Lulu yesterday. Scared me a little. I don't even like talking in front of more than two people, and this...)

I likely be getting one of each, good sir! Is it possible that you might sign them?

Nicely done cover, btw!

I can't come to BronyCon, but I am EXTREMELY interested in buying a Sam and Rose book.

now i am a little sad i will never be able to go.

those book's look awesome !

I can't personally make it, but by God am I interested in ordering online afterwards
(Specifically probably the Haunting, but we'll see)

Yeah I'm sure I'll be picking up one of your books.

Oh sweet, sweet Luna. WANT.
Especially the Fanfare. I spotted Silver Spanner. Best reason to buy.
Regrettably, Bronycon is on the wrong side of the Great Western Sea.

Oh and thanks for the signal boost.
You're too kind.

I'm going to have to bring a duffel bag just for all of the books I'll be buying, won't I?

Very cool that you will be selling some books. I hope you sell them all out, along with all the other authors that bring ones to sell. :)

Yes, I will be buying this so please bring one for me. :trixieshiftright:

Windflower and her Ducky.

I did the survey, but yep, I'll be there and I want a set too!

I want one of everything. EVERYTHING :flutterrage:

😘 but we couldn't get to BronyCon... Will look forward to the online.

I'm absolutely getting one of each.

I most certainly will be wanting to purchase a copy of each at the con.

I'll be getting a copy of Fanfare for the Common Mare. Pretty sure I marked it down on the survey, but want to cover all my bases.

Id love a copy of 'The Haunting'

I'll defenetly be looking for a copy of 'The Haunting'.

I'm not going to be making it to Bronycon but I will buy a book or two via Lulu if the option becomes available.

Biscuit, I, sadly, won't be able to hit the con.
That being said, I would be more than happy to pick up a copy of one or more of your tales in hardcopy.
And if not, I'll just print and bind another of your stories, because I like having good things to read on the bookcase.

Sam and Rose and The Haunting, unsure of the anthology.

I'll be getting copies of both after the con from Lulu.

I am certainly interested in printed fanfiction, but can't make it to any cons this year.

I would be pleased as punch to buy a copy of The Haunting & possibly your anthology

Sweet.

In the meantime, :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:I'm in the middle of writing the one-shot I told you about.

Awesome! Let me know when it’s done!

5085477

(checks the list I made when doing the survey) Yep, Haunting is on there.

Yay!

(Just got my boxes from Lulu yesterday. Scared me a little. I don't even like talking in front of more than two people, and this...)

I know, right? I just got boxes this week, and I’ll get the last box next week. It’s gonna be awesome!

5085478

I likely be getting one of each, good sir! Is it possible that you might sign them?

Huzzah! And yes, of course I’ll sign them!

Nicely done cover, btw!

Thank you! I can’t take any credit; it was all iisaw’s work.

5085497

now i am a little sad i will never be able to go.

There are other cons, but it is a shame that BC is no more after this year.

those book's look awesome !

I get giddy every time I look at them! It’s somehow more real than just words on the computer screen, ya know?

5090272 Iisaw is awesome. I think I may have given him an hour or two before he headed out on his European vacation when I threw the Monster and Letters covers at him (although to my credit, I had all the pictures, formatting sketched out, and page counts done)

5085498

I can't personally make it, but by God am I interested in ordering online afterwards

I’m still figuring out how to set that up, and I’ll probably go and fix some stuff in the online edition before it’s available for sale (one of my pre-readers just pointed out a couple more mistakes he’d found, after I was already holding the printed copies in my hand...).

I think a lot of authors are gonna make stuff available online after the con. At least I hope that’s the case.

(Specifically probably the Haunting, but we'll see)

That’s a good one to have, methinks.

5085503

Yeah I'm sure I'll be picking up one of your books.

I’ll be mad if you don’t. :rainbowlaugh: I can even sign it and stuff. Or put a smear of grease on it, like a proper shop manual.

5085515

Oh sweet, sweet Luna. WANT.

Especially the Fanfare. I spotted Silver Spanner. Best reason to buy.

There is indeed Silver Spanner. Also, Golden Harvest is wearing a proper harness, complete with breeching strap.

Regrettably, Bronycon is on the wrong side of the Great Western Sea.

I know, right?

Oh and thanks for the signal boost.
You're too kind.

Oh, you’re quite welcome! I know I haven’t commented on it directly, but I am quite enjoying it.

5085516

I'm going to have to bring a duffel bag just for all of the books I'll be buying, won't I?

A sturdy duffel bag, possibly with wheels.

5085518

Very cool that you will be selling some books. I hope you sell them all out, along with all the other authors that bring ones to sell. :)

Thanks!

Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I think a lot of authors are going to wind up selling out. I think, based on responses I’ve seen, this thing is going to be immensely popular.

5085532

Yes, I will be buying this so please bring one for me. :trixieshiftright:

I shall! I intend to have an ample supply available for people.

5085560
The duck’s just the icing on the adorable cake.

5085585

I did the survey, but yep, I'll be there and I want a set too!

Yay!

5090276 Greasy thumb prints on every page, you mean?

5085635

😘 but we couldn't get to BronyCon...

:fluttercry:

Will look forward to the online.

Yay!

5085670

I'm absolutely getting one of each.

Huzzah!

5085710

I most certainly will be wanting to purchase a copy of each at the con.

Yay!

5085718

I'll be getting a copy of Fanfare for the Common Mare. Pretty sure I marked it down on the survey, but want to cover all my bases.

Yay! That’s the most popular one by the survey!

5085820

Id love a copy of 'The Haunting'

Excellent!

5085827

I'll defenetly be looking for a copy of 'The Haunting'.

Awesome!

5085859

I'm not going to be making it to Bronycon but I will buy a book or two via Lulu if the option becomes available.

:fluttercry:

Yes, the option will become available on Lulu after the con. I’ll have to figure out how to set a few things up, and I might do a revision to correct some errors that weren’t corrected before printing. . . .

5085973

That being said, I would be more than happy to pick up a copy of one or more of your tales in hardcopy.

They will be available on Lulu post-con. How soon postcon, I can’t say; depends on how long it takes me to recover and figure out how to make them available for purchase.

And if not, I'll just print and bind another of your stories, because I like having good things to read on the bookcase.

Ooh, send me a picture of a bound copy of one of my stories. The best I’ve got for fan-bound thus far (and it was me, and for editing purposes) is in an old Trapper Keeper.

5086130

Sam and Rose and The Haunting, unsure of the anthology.

Yay!

If you’ve read my SoL, you’ll probably like the anthology.
